I actually do not care that much about having the keyboard that docks with a tablet. I have plenty of bluetooth keyboards lying around. My main issue is how do you get the tablet to stand up like a monitor without the keyboard. For this reason alone, I lean towards the tablets with built in kick stands. I don’t want to pay $45 for a stand (keyboard).

Why not order one of these cases from Aliexpress? Only $13 delivered http://www.aliexpress.com/item/High-Quality-And-Hot-Selling-PU-Protective-Case-Cover-For-CHUWI-Hi12-12-Tablet-Case-For/32658292640.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.21.jxWrb2&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_0,searchweb201602_3_10017_10034_10021_507_10022_10020_10009_10008_10018_10019,searchweb201603_6&btsid=b42e44f4-d1ae-4c4d-b5f8-a9836baa8c1f

I’ve had my dual boot Chuwi HI12 for a couple of days now, really impressed with the screen and how fluid both Windows and Android are. Speakers are just okay (but I knew this from Chris’s helpful review ?). Also Gearbest have just shipped my keyboard which has been out of stock for a couple of weeks (hopefully they’ve tightened those screws!!). Although the plastic screen protector the tablet comes with has been applied well, has anyone switched to a tempered glass protector? I noticed one is available on Amazon for the Chuwi.

This case from aliexpress is covering the tablet from both sides?
I ask this because it does not look like the original case of the x98 plus I own.

About if I buy again the hi12 I wonder about that because I had it and I sold it because it was not the dual boot and with a few tabs in firefox became really luggy.
And of course the windows it is not (at all) “touch friendly” like android.
Another think maybe it is worth to notice was that from the first time I opened the box you could hear some cracling sounds when you hold it.

Now I am thinking to buy again the dual boot but I want to ask if we wait another tablet within the next months with aspect ratio 3:2 and if the hi12 have a really good case so we can use it in many circumstances.

Actually you said quite important think.

I am all the time waiting for some move from Teclast, or the other company about creating something similar to hi12 (the same or bigger screen, update to z8500 or better).

I hope that chuwi will not do the same like with dualboot option- instead of updating their first model, they create new device with dualboot and stylus support.

I just hope that they will offer option of updating current dualboot devices to remix os.

Actually Firefox and chrome don’t run well on atom chips. I love Firefox and I have it on every device except this one because it lag way too much. I thought I would never say this but Edge is much better and more fluid on atom chips, for once Microsoft made a good job optimizing their software.

After destroying my bios by flashing it incorrectly, I wound up buying another Chuwi Hi12 which I am waiting on now

So yes, I would, and did, buy it again

The stylus isn’t very good, so I would go for a Cube i7 Book the next time. probably tomorrow actually.
