yeah I tried that. I got an error after a while and it reverted back to the current version. But I did as you said when the GPT and all. I booted it from the usb and this is what came up. What do I do from there. Im a totally newbie with this
You’re in the UEFI Shell. Looks like the USB isn’t bootable to me, you’ll have to try again. Try using ISO2disk (In out downloads section) and then setting it as GPT and use a Windows 10 64bit image.

Do you know where I get the X2 pro from an EU warehouse/seller.
November 6, 2015 at 9:29 am #15116I use these steps to make a UEFI Bootable disk. You will need a USB drive and a Windows 10 64 Bit ISO.
- Connect USB drive to a Windows PC.
- Open a command prompt with Admin rights and run the commands below
- Enter the following command in the CMD window:
- diskpart
- With this command you can display the list of drives.
- list disk
- Now, identify your USB stick and enter the following command as a number (instead of “#”):
- select disk #
- You can delete all existing partitions from the USB stick with this command:
- clean
- With this chain of command, a new partition is created, then selected, activated and then formatted to FAT32. A drive is subsequently assigned when the procedure is completed:
- create partition primary
- select partition 1
- active
- format quick fs=fat32
- assign
- Now you can exit Diskpart:
- exit
- Enter the following command in the CMD window:
- Mount the Windows 10 ISO and then copy all the files on the CD Image to the USB drive.
The UEFI bootable USB drive is ready. Connect it to the tablet. Boot into the BIOS. Under “Save & Exit” menu there is “Boot Override” menu, which should show your USB stick if UEFI detected it correctly. Select it to Boot from the USB and start the install.

I’ve searched and can’t find anyone selling it from an EU warehouse. I know that Banggood can normally get things to me in 10-15 days from China and I’m in Spain.

I would like to install my own (german) Windows Version. Therefore I have to formate the harddisk. Can I expect any driver problems? I have seen that on this site the drivers for this device got uploaded. Do I only have to install then and everything work?

could you tell me something about the performance with firefox? because I have an Intel Atom mini PC and firfox is hardly usable because of lagging. it only works with Internet Explorer. Maybe it is an issue of mobile processors? Does Firefox work well with the X2 pro?
Edit: now I found this tablet on banggood with a very attractive price of 361EUR. Just use on the checkout this code:”xmas06″ and you will get 6% off ;).
Anyone know If banggood sell it with a guinne Windows version? On the website they have written “<u>The Windows 10 system ONLY have Chinese and English, both language are genuine version!!!</u>” but I don’t know If I can trust this. Maybe somone can tell me his experience?
November 9, 2015 at 2:41 pm #15425My replacement tablet is still in transit. Was stuck in customs for a week and got released today. Holiday season in India so I guess I can expect more delays due to Govt officials on leave. đ
November 9, 2015 at 4:48 pm #15431My X2 from Aliexpress is still in transit, I can’t wait anymooooooooreeeeeeeee
November 9, 2015 at 9:57 pm #15448Chris – you’re costing me an arm and a leg!
First it was the Pip W3f, now its the x2 pro! Btw for those interested, i got mine from banggood, using their app to buy, which gives you a 10% off first time for using their app. This resulted in the cost going from 406USD to 365.4USD. Again, you need to register and use the mobile app – first purchase using the app only (make sure to select the coupon at checkout). Also got i7 remix tempered glass screen protector from there (base cost of 10USD, far better than sellers on aliexpress).
Some questions:
- Assuming the banggood ship a legal licence of Windows 10, how do i go about reinstalling windows 10? (is there an iso/install i can download?)
- Is there a way to get / write down the licence key before i format? is this even how it works?
- if i was to purchase an m2 ssd (“2242” size) – would that fit and do i install windows as per above?
- m2.4g modem seems to possible – do you know of anyone who has actually tested this ?
- lastly, what are “doubledrivers”?
Cheers and appreciate your continued involvement and passion in tech!
November 11, 2015 at 11:08 am #15560I wanted to buy Cube i7 Stylus on 11.11 sales from Ali – with Keyboard, Stylus, Screenguard. It would cost nearly 376 USD with coupons.
But yesterday read the review of Teclast x2 Pro and ordered from Banggood. With 10% coupon, which everyone can easy get (by using mobile app) – it cost me 365 USD.
Additionally, there is a discount on Gearbest for Keyboard and Stylus, which now are worth of 35 and 17 USD respectively
http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_252594.htmlhttp://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_252590.html
So, total cost of full kit is 417 USD, which is only 41 USD more than the kit of Cube i7 Stylus.
But for that additional spending you’ll receive:
- 1″ bigger screen.
- Two full size USB on the Tablet (Cube has only keyboard full size 2xUSB).
- As I understood from the review and forums, Teclast is better with USB powering external HDDs, modems…
- Better head spreading and thus Performance. But as I understood from the inward photos of Teclast, there is a gap between copper plate and Thermal Pad, which contacts the back cover. This gap is because of the embossed surface of the copper plate above the chip. Maybe there is a sense to fill this gap with little copper pads 0,5x20x40 mm with thermal paste.
- Teclast has second m.2 slot which may be occupied by Wireless card.
But to buy Teclast x2 Pro you have to accept next drawbacks in comparison with Cube i7 Stylus:
- It’s Digitizer requires batteries. I’m not sure, it can work 250 hours on single AAAA battery. I also doubt, that Active Stylus will perform better then Cube i7 Stylus Wacom one.
- Size and dimensions are not optimal for the tablet. Sharp corners and wide frames (wider in real life than on pictures) are additional disadvantages.
- Keyboard. It has no USBs. And Tablet connector is on flexible fabric, which may be damaged after repeated bending
So, actually, price gap between Teclast is not large. But it’s up to you to decide worth this advantages/disadvantages a higher price, or not.
November 11, 2015 at 7:29 pm #15588Got replacement tablet today. Upgraded the SSD. Added a Huawei 4G module. Added antennas. 4G works fine.
Feel free to add questions here. Do not send me PM as answers would be helpful to others users as well.
I did some heatsink mods as well. Sadly did not take any pictures. I removed the thermal pad on the CPU and added Gelid Extreme thermal paste. I removed the thermal pad on top of the copper heatsink and replaced it with thin copper plates.. held together by thermal paste as well.

- Assuming the banggood ship a legal licence of Windows 10, how do i go about reinstalling windows 10? (is there an iso/install i can download?)
- Is there a way to get / write down the licence key before i format? is this even how it works?
- if i was to purchase an m2 ssd (â2242â size) â would that fit and do i install windows as per above?
- Which m2 4g modem did you get? do you have a link?
- lastly, what are âdoubledriversâ?
November 11, 2015 at 9:53 pm #15606Answers:
- Banggood shipped me a legal copy of Windows 10. I used my own licensed copy though. I used a UEFI bootable USB. I have posted steps to do that above in earlier posts.
- I haven’t tried it. However, there should be a way. Any other user might be able to help.
- M.2 NGFF 2242 mSATA SSD is the one which you should be looking for. Fits perfectly as you can see in the pictures I uploaded.
- 4G modules are different for different countries. It depends on thet “4G BAND” which is used in your country and your 4G service provider. I used a Huawei 906C which supports the band in India. Link: http://consumer.huawei.com/en/solutions/m2m-solutions/products/tech-pecs/me906c.htm
You will have to contact your service provider for BAND info and then buy a proper one. - Doubledrivers info here:Â http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/double_driver.html
It is kind of a driver backup software.
