Ty for the reply, Ren.
So the first copper plate (in the 3rd photo) is 0.2 mm, glued with thermo adhesive artctic silver to the external metal case/cover.
Then a total of 1.8mm (0.4*2 + 1) of copper plate located over the cpu. (sized as the first pic)
Then everything in contact with themo-conductive paste…
Correct?
(sorry if I repeat, my english sucks)
Thanks a bunch!
And… what about my other points^ .. ?

December 10, 2015 at 3:24 pm #18122Pics
Greetings! Could you please take some very good close up photos of the Elpida chips next to the CPU? (the RAM modules)… I am going to try something absolultey crazy – I am going to replace the 2x 2GB chips with 2x 4GB chips (total to 8G ram). If anyone could post very clear photos that would be AWESOME! An additional bonus would be their dimensions in MM.
Thank you all
December 11, 2015 at 10:53 pm #18241Hi Ren,
Can you kindly with the back casing closed, show us with the tool you used to open the rear cover, which corner did you start at.
Did it leave any scruff marks or indentations?
Do you have any comments on open case?
December 11, 2015 at 11:15 pm #18243Hi Ren,
I see the photos you Installed LTE modem.
Can a 2Nd Ssd be installed?
If I decide to buy the lte modem where to buy and what it called for the antenna you have.
Thx
December 12, 2015 at 10:27 am #18269I would like to increase my wifi speed and was thinking to buy these. Anyone know if they will work?
December 12, 2015 at 5:59 pm #18305For the record, ive opened a PayPal case against GearBest for lack of communication and for still having my order frozen WELL after the 3-5 day dispatch I was assured. Has anyone on here actually recieved their X2 from Gear Best?
December 12, 2015 at 6:33 pm #18307Hi Alex.
I’ve done 2 orders at gearbest:
-a tv box cenovo, 23 november
-X2 pro, keyboard, stylus pen and 64gb microSD, 27 november
I’ve received my X2 pro yestarday with the keyboard, everything seems good. I’ve done backup copy of drivers (with DoubleDrivers) and done a clean installation of W10, then I used drivers from backup (for hardwares that windows can’t install automatically) and all seems ok.
But still no info for pen and microSD, and same for cenovo tv box…
gearbest is replying to my mails, saying my stuff is already shipped and such, but from the tracking number in DHL website I can see they only received “shipment information” but not the goods itself….
so I would say… wait, and “hope”…. maybe they are a bit slower, or not well organized…
Riccardo
December 13, 2015 at 1:12 am #18356I find it to be abnormal… paid in full via paypal on 12/1 – no word at all still 12/12. Ive already placed a new order from VENSTAR store on AliExpress (it was slightly priced higher) it was shipped in 2 days and I already have a DHL number that is actually traceable.

December 13, 2015 at 1:39 am #18359Same here, I ordered from gearbest but after 2 weeks they still hasn’t receive the item. Customer service sucked and I asked for a full refund. In the end I ordered direct from China. Much cheaper and faster.
December 13, 2015 at 2:09 am #18361You can reduce 5-7 degrees simply by lowering voltage by -75 mV on CPU trough Intel Extreme Overlooking utility. It also reduces TDP of processor from 4 to 3 watts. It helps to keep higher frequencies of CPU under load. You can also try to decrease voltage more, depending on the quality of the chip. In the worst case, you will have instability and reboot the tablet.
The same is for GPU. But actually, I cannot assess surplus in performance and temperature as a result of GPU voltage lowering by ~75 mV, because I have an extreme temperature throttling in 3D applications. Even with 14 cm fan placed on the back of the tablet. I will do the heat sink mod as soon as receive components for it.
BTW. Try NOT OVERHEAT tablet too often. After having run benchmarks for a while, I now have a little light spot 3×3 mm on the screen, in the area, where CPU is located. It’s seen on white background only.

Own use of this model does not have any problem (with the system comes with the driver, do not drive with a new, updated to set many parameters (master can ignore), the system comes with the drive plugged in the bottom right of the mobile network came out, directly inserted card to use), the other can not be guaranteed. Normally this would be all the same Size 30MM * 42MM, NGFF interfaces, remember to [connect] antenna, and normally this size should be able to use this interface, By daring to try it, I was in the store can only sell installed, I have not tried other models.”
On bbs.teclast.com/search.php, search <x2 pro 4G> Look for a post with “4G Upgrade” in the title. Google translates the characters that Teclast uses for its name as “Taipower” (which is also the English name of the electric utility covering all of Taiwan). I’ve lived in Taiwan, so that translation caught me by surprise. That post suggests that the modem driver is bundled with the X2 Pro.
So, the Huawei ME906<x>, where <x> is a country specific version, will work. Other posts say the ME906E is for European bands.
The Huawei ME906V is the modem used in US models of the Dell Venue 11 Pro 7000 Series (7140). So, antennas for the Venue 11 Pro will work with the ME906V.
Rather than buy a Lenovo Miix 700 with 4G … which is not yet shipping …, I ordered an X2 Pro 64GB ($386, EN and CN, from Banggood), and on US eBay, a glass screen protector for X2 Pro ($15), Teclast stylus ($25), and Huawei ME906V M.2 LTE ($46, US bands) module. I bought an AData SP600 256GB 2242 M.2 “like new” for $80, and two 4G LTE antennas for Dell Venue 11 Pro ($5 each) on Amazon. I’ll report back after I’ve received and rebuilt the system. I need mobile data, and a faster CPU and GPU than my X98 Air 3G. I also ordered a Teclast X2 keyboard ($42) today from Banggood.
@Chris. Terrific site. I sent you some support… If the modded X2 Pro works, I’ll have about $800+ in my pocket instead of in Lenovo’s pocket, and nearly the same performance (the Miix 700 IPS panel is better … for video, but I watch videos on a Samsung Tab S anyway).December 14, 2015 at 3:51 am #18512Pls post your installation once you have it. I’m interested to upgrade my X2 with an LTE modem too.
