Heat mod significantly improves perfomance so as -75mV adaptive shift at cpu and gpu. I could get 6796 in 3dmark06 and 676 at 3dmark11 fire strike.
I also had made a heatsink mod – the most important thing is to change the thermal pad which is direct on the cpu with a good thermalpaste and a cooper plate.
how can I set this: “-75mV adaptive shift at cpu and gpu”
December 27, 2015 at 2:40 pm #20075@Daniel, Yes, exactly! So, they begin to add adhesive to the tablets. It’s not good, because you need heat gun just to open it. This rare case, when next batches became worse…
December 27, 2015 at 3:01 pm #20078@wos wasi, download from TechPowerUp ThrottleStop utility. It allows to change gpu and CPU voltage.

thank you! I will try it!
Edit: which version do you use? i get error message “cpu not supported”.
i used v6.00, v7 beta, and v8 beta.the error message of version 8 is “This beta version has now expired”
December 27, 2015 at 4:49 pm #20085I used version from here http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/the-throttlestop-guide.531329/
It is 8beta5. It worked for me.
December 27, 2015 at 6:45 pm #20094December 27, 2015 at 7:46 pm #20102@Robert. Congratulations! 512 might GB! Does your unit have clips or adhesive to secure the backplate?
@Daniel and @Ren. Interesting that the backplate design dropped plastic clips. The only reason… it has to be cheaper to just use adhesive. At least it’s not clips and adhesive.December 27, 2015 at 9:50 pm #20113They have cube i7 which is 350$, so they goes from x1 pro to x2, which is 380-400, now we see this change, that is really not good and maybe something in the future, that makes it 350$ tablet…
December 28, 2015 at 12:03 am #20128@Ren. Why do you think a change in backplate fastening is “really not good”? The Cube Core M does not have 4G, has only one micro-USB, and has a Wacom stylus (not the more accurate N-trig). I prefer the X2 Pro, and Teclast in general, over Cube. The first Cube i7 Stylus shipments used KMSpico-cracked Win10. Outright fraud. Maybe Teclast has done the same thing on other models (IDK)… but not on the X2 Pro.
December 28, 2015 at 7:28 pm #20235I think it is not good because, now you need heat gun to open it. I have it, but for someone it could be a problem. Clips are very easy to open.
December 28, 2015 at 7:52 pm #20243Plastic tabs vs. heat gun … the challenge is figuring out how much of each if there’s no tutorial. That’s why I always start with a heat gun, it never hurts in moderate amounts. As we now know, the method of backplate attachment can change, even in the same model, as it did in the X2 Pro.
December 29, 2015 at 4:47 am #20307Hello to everybody!
Im am new here and follow with interest. I ordered my X2 from Gearbest for about 360 USD + Stylus 15 USD (Flash Sale). It was shipped within 3 days. So till now everything OK. I’am pretty excited at the X2 and the Win 10 Version of Gearbest.
@Robert: Please inform further about your success with the 4G modem and if it works fine in Austria and which provider you are using. I would like to buy and install a modem as well.
Has anybody of the Austrians or Germans already found where a German Keyboard is available?

December 29, 2015 at 6:08 am #20314I received and installed my Huawei ME906V modem and antennae today. Installation tip: press the antennae on the module before you put the modem in the M.2 socket. In any event, Device Manager says the modem drivers are installed and working properly, but no joy… I’m stuck at the “Insert SIM” stage. Several hours of trying drivers from HP, Dell, and mega.nz for the modem (HP calls it a Gobi LT4412. “Gobi” is a Qualcomm modem line.) HP has a Windows 10 x64 firmware update for the ME906V, but my downloads fail before the utility can install it (might be a good thing). I can see bars of service… but can’t get past the “Insert SIM” prompt.
