Backcover is mounted with latches, which are designed to be openned many times. Mine was openned >20 times, nothing is broken.

Can you describe how should we open the backcover 😉 Who knows when you will find the time to make video 😉

And advise for future modders of Teclast x2 Pro… Who gave that crappy idea to unglue backcover with heardrier??? Backcover is mounted with latches, which are designed to be openned many times. Mine was openned >20 times, nothing is broken. So, the author of this video, if you are present on this forum. youtube.com/watch?v=9kl6SEKhJFY DELETE!!!! this. I’ll share the right video this week.

You have the first generation of X2, which comes with latches instead of glue. Lucky you! The rest we have a problem with the damned glue.

So you dont have any latches at all? How does the backplate stick to the screen once you have removed the glue?

Unless you have removed the glue from you cover, it aint the same version.. (check pictures, first gigabyte’s yt-vid, second yours, and very fare from ver2 if that yours backplate)

//completely different then mine, and not least cam hole that are not open for backplate on mine.

the backplate only covers 70% and stop before cam hole on my version in regards to your pictures.. http://techtablets.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Plate-with-pad.jpg

-but none the less quite an comprihensiv thermal mod you had done, impressiv would love some feedback that i can put into context with my own, and perhaps the Intels ETU benchmark i linked to previus ‘(p27) that coocks mine to 92/93 degress and a 281 score, as i recall.. its pretty fast and takes a few minutes // link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24075/Intel-Extreme-Tuning-Utility-Intel-XTU-

btw’ whats up with photoapps on windows10.. the original microsoftapp tumbles continuesly when trying to record video, but aint it possible to use another app to manage the cam, and any recommandations down that alley?

Anton@ The own video you linked ‘ actually shows it quite comprihensiv how the backplate on newer version only comes off in the middle and not the bottom or the top where the camera is, like your model and as the vid with the X2 pro (1gen)  with the cute cat’ you posted…

There is an huge difference..(check 3:12 in the vid you linked to some posts ago and wanted remove)

Ok, understood. Of course, our thread needs two videos of tablet dismantling now. For owners of the Gen 1 tablet and Gen 2.

This question occurred due to the incidents, when people having 1st Gen tablet with latches, used hairdryer to unglue aluminium cover 😀

Because there was only one video tutorial on youtube.

So, this problem is considered to be fixed now 🙂

On our CIS countries forum, by the way, noone has Gen 2 tablet w/o latches. Thus I was so skeptical about the original tutorial. My Teclast was bought on 10 November 2015 from banggood.

Yep, theres quite a difference in backplate, Anton can you check two things with your 1gen x2 device.

if you could weigh it and tell what it weighs in gram, and second if you could try this intel utility that takes  few minutes to run..https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24075/Intel-Extreme-Tuning-Utility-Intel-XTU-

to see how good your comprihensiv thermal-mod is performing and the amount of throttling..(mine come in 92/93 degrees and score 281 //picture) mine was purchased also oktober/november but from Gearbest and weighs 915gram, but it took them many weeks to shipped it, so i guess it wasnt in stock, ewen thow they promoted it as it was, and could be there that gen1 was misplaced with gen2.
