Is the X3 different then the X2 in regards to the memory? On the information its quoted as “8GB of dual channel DDR3 RAM”. In other words, is the X2 running in single channel?

Is strange that there is not a single device out there yet. Especially from when it was anouned and it being just a upgraded X2… So far i do not see a lot of difference besides ( CPU changed = pin compatible, memory = probably same pin compatible just double density and then the SSD what is nothing strang as the X2 also had a 128GB version ). In other words, at first glance it seems they simply drop in replaced a few components and slammed a much bigger price tag on top.

It’s running dual channel RAM on both models. The only change in the X2 Pro Vs X3 Pro is the new Core M3 + 8GB instead of 4GB. The rest remains the same as the older model. I’ll have mine next week hopefully and will review it here and on YouTube. It just shipped today.

It would be nice to see a comparison to x2 pro to see if it is worth upgrading!

Will be quite interesting to see it against the x2 pro scores..

so Chris please run these benhmarks when you get your hands on the x3, (_x2 scores).

will be interesting to see if the higher price makes sense.. as i recall an x2 pro with original keyboardcover an plus active stylus goes for 350US in China.(at least for 5 months ago on teclast homesite, but china only offer, and thats 45 less then what i paid 395* 8 months ago

the X2 pro is an great machine, and quite impressive score it performs for that money and perhaps to much..and i personally are very fund of teclast x-series edgy-design on there X1.X2.X3 but i do miss an feedback-vibra-motor in the x2, it gives some depth when writing on display or turning it on and so.

It seems to be a perfect machine for me, chinese device can be inconsistent and iffy. Rather than rushing in to buy one, i will rather wait for Chris’s review. We ought to donate to Chris as he shown us the right device and techtablets have been a great site to check on chinese made devices, otherwise i would not bought X98Air3G without his recommendation.

Also waiting on the X3 Pro review, 8gb ram is the sealer for me as I work in 3D and need the extra ram.

I’m sure the GPU has been upgraded too,

Specs says the X2 has Intel HD Graphics 5300 and the X3 has Gen9LP HD515 GPU.

Can’t wait for Chris’s review whether to pull the trigger on owning one. I am sure  performance should not be an issue but with Chris’s review should give an idea on how this X3 perform.I am looking at whether is there any improvement on heat issue, as chinese tablet maker has the nasty habit of not solving it. As Chris proved with little mod and tiny bit of cost that surely will not dent the makers profit to solve the heat issue.

If i have the money to make the tablets, get rid of the hardware performance issues, i think buyers would love it. I will price in between the chinese and the japanese brands, the idea is affordability with little issues.

Read and seen it, it seems interesting, dual AC, i guess the heat would still be an issue if i am getting the right message. However, i don’t go for games, more on work and streaming. Watching HD can be hot affair like teclast X98, it will shut down abruptly when overheated. I hope Chris will tell us about watching HD streaming.

All the sudden, with all honesty, I have some reservation on X3 Pro, did not feel the desire to own one. i felt Cube i9 has the edge, 3:2 ratio, if it it come with a stylus and 8gb ram, i would have not given a second thought. I need extra ram for multi tasking. Chris is probably right that it could have been better with a 16:10. I don’t think i9 will improve by having stylus enable screen and 8 gb ram anytime soon . X3 pro will be the likely choice should the full review be positive.

For me it’s all about the quality of the stylus support, so far all I’ve seen is people making a few squiggles, I’d like to see how it performs with Photoshop and Zbrush, something a little more in-depth than we’ve seen to date, I’d also like to see how this runs 3ds Max or Maya, etc etc.

If stylus support is just a gimmick or very basic, I have no reason to get one of these.

For me, the lack of an integrated kick stand largely negates the usefulness of these tablets. I don’t want to buy the keyboard separately just so the tablet stands up on my desk. I also don’t want to buy a third party case to make it do so.

If the tablets performance and features are superior to the rest of the market at this price range, I’d just buy buy a 3 quid stand and a bluetooth keyboard…cheap as chips.
