Got the dual boot A5C8. Apparently different hardware can be found, like a Hynix HCG8e drive. Does it now have USB3 as well as the device manager mentions a Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Contoller ? (see screenshot)

That’s why it is a minefield dealing with these Chinese devices, they slap in whatever hardware they can source at the time. TV boxes are even worse, look at how many different Q7 PCBs there are!
So it seems that this new A5C8 batch has a different eMMC drive and a different rear camera module.

The A5C6 has the same USB 3.0 controller.

intersting mod! I suspect it wouldn’t work on a 3G model, since the pins are used by the modem, am I wrong? If that’s the case, too bad!
