OK. Thank you Max. I use only once 32GB SanDisk SDHC with Fat32. Thus, I can use this on Windows and Android.

March 2, 2016 at 11:42 am #27732Hi.
I also have a X98 Plus and also with the SD problem on Windows 10.
I tried 5 different cards of 64Gb at 2 stores.
Sandisk, Emtec, Toshiba and Integral not recognized at all. Samsung recognized, but I didn’t check if it accepts data, just checked the recognition.
I only got the brands, not the complete specs of those cards, but since the first 4 were on sell, I think they were all Class 10, maybe some were SDHX. The Samsung was a card not on sell, they have it at the store and allow me to check it since the others were not working.
I also check a 16Gb Samsung SDHC card that I have from another smartphone. This one is recognized but doesn’t work, that is, there’s a sound when it is inserted and it appears in File Explorer, as SD Card, but Windows don’t recognize it’s capacity and after some time it disappears from the list. So, it’s useless. However, it works fine on Android part.
Two other old cards are recognized and working fine: one with 248 Mb and another with 4 Gb (brand Team, SDHC, Class 6).
March 5, 2016 at 3:22 am #28061Does anyone have some links for the best guides/instructions for flashing to dual boot?
The information for it seems very vague.
March 5, 2016 at 10:12 am #28076Hi Everyone,
Finally, I have received my X98 Plus 🙂 I have read forum before but, I have to clarify something and ask you for help.
I wanted to do all steps including BIOS update, when I turn on X98PlusBIOSUpdateTool it shows first “weird” message (as someone has explained, because I don’t have Chinese language pack), then in next window it shows number 107 and below 106 with place to write my model (I think), because when, I have written A5C8 it shows only stars **** and I can’t click next – does anyone knows what might be a problem and what exactly I am talking about? 😉
Another question: When you do Windows reset at the beggining, is it better to do it with option to “keep my files” or “Remove everything” and if I choose “Remove everything” should I go for “Only the driver where windows is installed” or “All drivers” – I am asking because It is dual boot, and I’m not sure if with “all Drivers” I can remove Android by mistake….
thank you in advance

March 5, 2016 at 6:16 pm #28112Darius,
First use double driver to back up your drivers.
Then perfor a factory reset to Windows 10 (I chose not to keep personal files), then perform the windows update with a flash drive installer using a USB hub (assuming you have one). Then flash the BIOS update for the SD card using the screenshots in the zip file. Make sure you have an A5C8 model before. Make sure both files are in C root directory.

This is the procedure that I used to flash win 10 to my a5c8. It worked perfectly.
March 6, 2016 at 6:24 pm #28212Thank you @Gal
I have done it, tablet was resting, Teclast logo stuck on 55%, left if for whole night (as it was supposed to take long time) and in the morning it was not turning on… I thought something went wrong, however now I have tried one more time and it turn one asking me question (…)A configuration change was requested to clear this computer’s TPM (Trusted Platform Module) WARNING: Clearing erases information stored on the TPM. You will lose all created keys and access to data encrypted by these keys(…)
what should I choose? From what I understand it is a back up partition, correct?
March 6, 2016 at 7:02 pm #28221Nothing TPM. No “Vol up”.
“Vol down” is ok.
I have today “Vol up” and crash my x98 Plus. My w10 is dead.
Greating from germany and big sorry for my bad english.

March 7, 2016 at 9:08 pm #28361Also some extremely handy options/tips in this blog post: http://www.askvg.com/master-tutorial-to-make-windows-10-super-fast/ However you need to think before following some of the steps, speeding up your device is one thing. But you’ve just bought a new device, you want it to still be pretty and functional etc.
I have a problem when I try to manually install the driver, it tells me I have already installed the best driver for the device, not sure how to get passed this
Edit : got it working now, used the have disk method and pointed to the INF file
Great help ty
March 8, 2016 at 4:25 am #28398Check out this post, it gives you instructions on how to re install W10 with an OTG hub, I’ve had this tab and this method worked great, alot of the drivers there should work with the X98 as its the same chipset, but you would need to find drivers for the touch screen, WiFi etc, and you would just need to be careful that you installed W10 on the correct partition.

March 8, 2016 at 6:22 am #28403Thanks @Mike
I have done it, android and windows works. After resetting android to factory setting there is still plenty of Chinese apps, so I had to delete or froze them.
During windows resetting few times I thought that tablet is dead, it went blank and for few hours nothing happened, no response, I had to try plenty of times to turn it on again and after couple of resets it went back to re-installation, did you have the same? It was all the time connected to charger.
Again thank you all for support.
March 8, 2016 at 8:12 am #28418Dariusz,
Android: Just root it and get rid of all that crapware. Very simple process.
Windows: My reset failed the first time, then I created a bootable Win10 installation, boot from USB and then I tried to repair windows installation instead of installing a clean installation. It worked. When it was done I created a bootable USB with the NOV update ISO (using Microsoft automated creator), then I upgraded from the USB (not enough storage to do it from Windows updates). When it was finished I reset Win10. This time it worked fine.
When you’re done you’ll need to fix the touch not working after sleep (just replace a file in INF folder..very simple). -
