I found a problem in the device Manager under “Memory Controller”
one of the “class controller of SD Memory” reports yellow mark and says
“The Device could not be started (Code10)
The E/A Device reports an E/A Error”The EventLog says:
The Device SD\VID_27&OID_5048&PID_SD32G&REV_3.0\… could not migrate. Is this also a driver problem or a real hardware defect?
Can somebody help me with this error messag?

February 14, 2016 at 2:58 am #25952The fail to start for SD Cards (error 10) is kinda a driver issue, but I’m yet to find a driver to solve it that doesn’t completely bugger up write speeds.
February 14, 2016 at 7:52 am #25961My Drive (emmc) is HYNIX HCG8e with driver 10.0.10586.0 (21.06.2006)

Once again referring to the A5C8 Plus version. Do you think the issue regarding Windows not recognising the SD card over 32gb is really a driver issue ? I have no problem with cards up to and including 32gb but larger than that the card is not seen, therefore the driver is working. I have tried various brands, wasting money on buying 64gb cards I don’t really need for experimentation. I have tried NTFS rather than Fat 32 but it seems there is a 32gb cap somewhere causing the problem. I have not checked but is it possible that the bios is imposing that cap when in Windows ? I have emailed Teclast after sales customer service but this is my first Teclast product and I have no idea how good their support is, especially just getting back from a week off for Chinese New Year. Seems that there are enough users with this issue on the latest Plus that they should try and fix it quickly.
February 14, 2016 at 8:12 pm #26005THx for this hint:
I found a very old 1GB mircoSD Card (formatted in FAT [not FAT32])
This Card is recognized from Win10!!!I don’t know if it is because of the old FAT-format or the low Card-Size?!?
All my other 32GB Cards I tried are not recognized, no matter if I format them in FAT32, NTFS or ExFAT (The old FAT format is not possible to format in Windows with a 32GB Card)!
Are there any Ideas, what I can do to get my 32GB CArd to work???

I pulled the 32GB out of my Android phone as an experiment and the tablet Windows 10 sees it no problem. To format I use a free program on my PC, MiniTool Partition Wizard which allows for many formats that my Windows 7 (on my PC) built in formatting will not allow. FAT32 should be fine but I will pull my phone card again and check and provide properties here shortly.

The 32GB Card that works is a Verbatim HC Class 4 (!). Format confirmed as Fat 32. Can’t imagine that this tablet would prefer a class 4 card over a class 10 though.
February 15, 2016 at 12:39 pm #26033Do you agree that this thread is a bit out of control? In my opinion it should be closed as it became too long and addresses too many subject. Information is getting lost (or just harder to find as it is not categorized by a thread Headline anymore).
The information here is amazing but it’s a shame it is not split to multiple threads.February 15, 2016 at 3:00 pm #26037Do you agree that this thread is a bit out of control? I fully agree! It is very hard to follow.
February 15, 2016 at 7:35 pm #26063Hi,
Yes we should close this thread and open a new specific thread just for SD-Card issue
