which older rom did you imstall? because i think i got the same problem as you did
thank you
April 8, 2016 at 7:31 am #32623Had v5 for a day and I found it less stable than v4. Clean install from v4 so everything was afresh. I can no longer run XCOM: Enemy Unknown with GLTools properly in v5, while it is fine in v4 and v3. Most of the time it runs without audio, and then hangs/crash at the splash screen. If it does run, about 20% of the time, the intro video will be silent and loading takes much longer than before. (Attached is the log for the former. I reinstalled both apps and gotten the same results.) Also I had a few random crashes on System UI and Android process (which I cannot replicate to get the logs). Also attached is a log when the tablet is idle at the home screen. Seems like MMGR is trying to access the SIM card or something (not sure) and this error persist all the way from boot and doesn’t stop.
I checked you logs …. It looks like you have problem with emmc ( internal memory ) – have you applied emmc fix for x98 pro ?

I have not. Will do so and report back.
What about the MMGR errors?

and so I flash the fix and it was successful.. now my tablet refuse to boot the OS and stuck in the Chinese teclast logo. Fresh install again from v5 also doesn’t make it boot into OS…. I supposed it has boot pass Bios but system cannot boot?
Flashed stock, stock can’t boot as well.

April 8, 2016 at 12:54 pm #32667Karl0ss and Mirek. I have installed all the drivers, switched on the tablet on DNX Fastboot, but my computer doesn’t detect the tablet. As every time that the tablet boots up in Android it gets stuck in the Android logo.. won’t the tablet ever boot up in Android again?
Do you know any other solution?

If you device is “stuck on android logo” it is not in DNX mode..
You should see the Teclast logo with “DNX mode” written in yellow, the device does not boot to android..
Unplug tablet, power it on with Power + Vol Up + Vol Down, keep holding until you see the DNX mode in yellow, then plug it in to your pc..
April 8, 2016 at 2:38 pm #32681Hi Mirek,
My tablet goes like the wind, perfect !
April 8, 2016 at 7:07 pm #32712Mirek as you have worked on the partitions lately, perhaps you can help.
Woudn’t it be possible to manipulate the partitions from windows. with the diskmanagement tools.
can you or somebody else provide perhaps some information what the partitions are for. I have seen that there r a lot of them. And
any plans for version 6 ?
best
April 9, 2016 at 7:44 am #32763No, changing them via windows kills android install, hence the release of the gpt.bin system needs to be partitioned before OS is installed..

April 10, 2016 at 7:40 am #32873Thank you for another great update, Mirek! Battery and RAM improvements are massive – unfortunately I already had my first black screen crash, though overall stability also seems to be significantly improved.
Could VIPER be the culprit? Have you had any experience with it on the X98 Pro by any chance?
