Teclast Tbook 16S Review - A Surface Pro Style Dual OS Tablet

The Teclast Tbook 16S is one of two Tbook 16 models. the 16S offers a Surface like experience with a free angle kickstand, Surface type cover style keyboard. Unfortunately, my unit had the RAM clocked to only 1066Mhz, but the Atom X5 Z8300 supports up to 1600Mhz. For some reason, Teclast didn’t run with the higher RAM speeds. This lows performance somewhat as seen on other tablets. Around 10%, but it normally increases battery life also by about 10%. My unit has stability issues in Android, gaming often resulted in the tablet freezing up for a few seconds and in some cases completely locking up. It could be I just lucked out and got a faulty unit.

The below is a detailed video review with benchmarks, speaker test, battery life, gaming, and thermals. Pros and cons with rating can be found below.

As it stands I find it hard to recommend this model. At least this first batch unit I have. Check out my list of recommended tablets or any tablet rating over 8/10 is considered fine by me.
