Today if DHL and FedEx deliver on time, I will have the new Teclast Air III, their budget retina slower Atom Z3735F Bay Trail. This model is dirt cheap at $130 for a retina 4:3 tablet and can be flashed to dual boot Windows and Android if you want that, Teclast did release the files to convert the Air III to Dual OS for this. So I might flash mine over to dual boot later on and write it up if there is interest.
And the Surface Pro 4, I got the entry level model, with the new 6th Gen Core M Skylake CPU. It’s fanless, as I hated the noise from my Surface Pro 3 i5, one of the reasons I sold it with it’s constant full on fan speed and heat. It’s good to have the latest Surface as I feel Microsoft’s Surface line has always set the standard in Windows tablets. And it’s good to use to gauge my Chinese tablet against the best. They will never match it of course, you’re talking about a premium tablet with a premium price tag against Chinese tablets like the X2 Pro or Cube i7 Stylus with price tags three times less.
It will be interesting to see if Cube and Teclast update their current Core M series with the new Skylake 6Y30 M3 next year. Both of these tablets will be featured more in the TT YouTube channel, so be sure to subscribe if you’re interested. The Air III will be the last Bay Trail tablet I will get. So I hope it’s a good one.
P.S I’m waiting on the Cube iwork11 (Cheaper X5 Z8300 version of the Cube i7 Stylus), Chuwi Hi8 Pro and Chuwi Hi10 to ship this week
Edit: Sorry I got mixed up, it’s only the cheaper 32GB Android version I have coming! (I’ve seen too many Chinese tablets and losing track of things)
