Alldocube iPlay 40 Review

Where to buy one

Alldocube only just released the iPlay 30 which is overall a great 4G Android 10 tablet with a super bright screen. But they went a step further with the absolute best spec on offer seen for the price and they hit a home run with the iPlay 40. Without a doubt, it’s simply the best I’ve seen for the price over the years. A decent UNISOC Tiger T618 chipset that’s able to play even demanding games like Genshin Impact. A fully laminated bright FHD+ IPS screen, 8GB of RAM, MicroSD support, dual SIM all of the common EU LTE bands.

The build of the iPlay is plastic on the outside with a reinforced internal metal frame and the result, a very sold tablet that even trying to flex it I couldn’t. The speakers again for the price are decent and so is the performance overall. Just the usual suspects for this tablet, no 3.5mm jack, no video output from the Type-C port, and no widevine level 1 cert. So Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+ and all in standard definition only.

I’ve already seen two firmware updates via OTA, but I highly doubt it will ever get Android 11. But then we will have the iPlay 50. Still overall if you’re looking to spend around $200 on an Android 10 tablet with 4G there is simply no better than this iPlay 40.

  1. It was for a few weeks at $180 sadly the price has gone up but it should drop again at some point. No more 8-9inch tablets it seems they don’t sell as well so the brands just don’t produce them. This year we should also have the new Mi Pad 5.

  2. Hi,
great review, thanks for tha! This tablets seems very fine for me! Im considering this one and Teclast T30. T30 semms to have better battery life (huge +) otherwise everything else seems beetter with this iPlay 40.

Well but where do you find this tablets for that price? iPlay 40 looks great for 180USD. Unfortunately lowest price I can find is 240 USD (+ taxes) on Aliexpress and that is huge different (T30 i possible to buy for 180USD even from EU warehouse)! How long does it usually take to these tablets to drop the price?

Actually is there any tablet (similar specs to this ones) witch 8-9inch screen? Like MI PAD 4 was?
