Chuwi MiniBook Review

Review of Chuwi’s 8″ UMPC the Chuwi Minibook. This is the Gemini Lake Celeron N4100 version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB eMMC 5.1 with spare 2242 M.2 SATA3 slot. This little laptop runs Windows 10 Home and has two USB 3.0 ports, Type-C USB 3.1, Wireless AC and 26.6Wh battery. Full detailed video review below:

  • Bright 650 lux screen with good sRGB
  • Very good weight, size and build
  • One of the fastest Celeron N4100 due to 12W TDP
  • Fan keeps temps under control
  • Performance is up also due to the fan
  • M.2 2242 SATA3 slot for storage upgrades
  • 360-degree hinge

Bad

  • Tiny keyboard & layout isn't for everyone
  • Fan under load is too loud
  • 4 1/2 hour battery life is poor
  • The webcam is poor and picks up fan noise
