FNF ifive Pro2 Review

The FNF iFive Pro2 is sadly another of those “It looked good on paper tablets” While it had some promise my unit has the Chinese ROM which just will not let me run the Google Play framework no matter what version installed or how I tried to install it. The only way I see it running Google Play is a custom ROM or maybe the RePad 10 ROM on this tablet with Google included in the ROM. Apart from that, the performance is very lacklustre, audio while having 4 speakers isn’t really any better, it gets loud but any volume over 80% the speakers distort and they do sound very poor. 3.5mm audio jack also has some bad static over it.

And battery life, you’ll struggle to make 4 hours of onscreen time, despite that 7800mAh battery. Poor ROM optimisation could be to blame or just the dated chipset? But the same chipset in the iFive Mini 4S runs games just fine, but that’s a stock Android 6.0 which out the switchabel OS to Phoenix OS (Like Remix style Android)

iFive Pro2 specs:

There are a few positives, the build quaily is good. It’s great having a hardware connected pogo port keyboard dock, even if it is cramped not the greatest to type on. And of course that staple retina screen 264 PPI, 300 lux and 2048 x 1536 resolution looks great, but it’s not fully laminated.
