    Hi!
Having finally got office space I  bought  a new monitor for working at home which is plugged into the Cube i7 Book via a USB C -> HDMI adapter which also supports power delivery.

I only just realised that HDMI generally only goes up to 30hz at 4k unless it is HDMI 2 – but I am unsure if this is supported by the Cube. Does anybody know if I should be looking for an HDMI 2 USB converter and cable, or looking to use DisplayPort instead?

At the moment I can’t find a DisplayPort adapter on Amazon for less than 100 GBP  which also offers Power Delivery (my 12v charger is broken) – does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks!

I have Techorbits USB 3.1 Type C to Displayport. 4k 60Hz is working, mst and daisy chaining too.

Displayport is the best option for USB-C(Displayport alt-mode is most wide support in devices).
Power delivery may be a problem. I advise you to buy another dc charger.

My DC charger is fine, sadly it’s the power jack coming loose from the main board that seems to be the problem. Someone on here managed to fix theirs so perhaps I should open it up, but I’ve been putting it off. Shame there’s no combined DP + Charging usb dongle out there, the HDMI one works well but am limited to 30hz or a lower res with it.
