Well I replaced the speaker in my Hi8 but it required a “case mod”.
I had already cracked the corner of my screen and the battery is draining way to fast so I decided to hack it.
I replaced the original speaker with a speaker from a 2009 mac mini, had a broken one lying around.
It made a huge difference! The sound quality is much better and the speaker is much louder. I of course now have most of a speaker popping out the back of my case but I’m fine with it. I just need a way to make it look nice and to protect the speaker.
