Hi,
I got a voyo vbook v1 wifi from aliexpress unboxing video here.
I did a system reset also but I made a paragon back up first and also made a windows recovery USB from within windows and did the reset from the usb that I just made… That got rid of all the chinese writing
Took ages to write the files to the usb to make the recovery drive .
I am liking the voyo v1.. Got stung on gearbest before so used aliexpress.
It is working fine but the stylus is nothing to write home about !!!
If you give me an email address then I might be able to send you a doubledriver backup file.
You know DoubleDriver ?? a driver backup utility.
if you got spare bitcoin you can donate to:

April 27, 2016 at 9:05 pm #35301Hey!!
First of all, thank you for your fast reply and your nice unboxing video. Well, the backups you did were a really clever idea 😀 Since I do not use bitcoin and while this stuff is still a mystical for me, may I say thank you via paypal? This would be great! By the way, after a little bit of traying around, I got an account at the 360 Cloud platform, where Voyo stores its .iso’s on it. Just to let you know: There is also one with dual boot (Android/Win10). At the moment, I try to download the normal single system just to be on the safe side and if its failing with you double driver backup utility (which sounds really nice, thank you for that)!
Sincerely

April 28, 2016 at 10:15 am #35353Hi,
have sent the audio driver backed up using doubledriver and compressed using 7zip (only the audio driver as all the drivers would be 500MB + )
let me know if it works.. Might be best to make sure old driver is uninstalled first.
Paragon software has been great for me. I purchase their hard disk manager suite but you can still get a copy of paragon backup free 2014.
one of the free paragon backup softwares either 2014 0r 2013 has a recovery media builder which is what one should be after so as to recover from usb drive. I purchased a 3 computer package of hard disk manager that was on sale on ebay .
when you get the sound working don’t forget to give profoundsound a try. It makes a massive difference. Fully functional trial for a week and only $5 to buy. Or a cutdown version is available for only $2.
The voyo is great to use as a book reader. Afree PDF reader is sumatra (lightweight and non-installing ie portable) and a great free book to start with is
It is a first hand account from a diary written by one of the first followers of an Old Indian Swami who left everything in India and went to the “west” and turned hippies into monks and nuns.
Did not realiize that I could have uploaded the file to this website !!!!

Hi!
This was not a very easy thing to get done, but there is a way: I dont remember how exactly, but you can register only via you phone number and either it was in the android app or the win10 app, you can select your country (predial-)code. There are only a few available, but strangly Germany was among them and I read from an other forum, that an U.S. citizen could select his country code also. Once you have got your code, you can log in to your account but be on the safe way and let your browser safe all you log in data, because everything will be in chinese. I only use the desktop app andd did a drag and drop to my device 😉
By the way, I was succesfull with the flashing of the image. Call me a hero, I did that with a CHINESE instruction manual by Voyo using my google translation app (by photographing the pdf at my computers screen, because the pdf consists of non copyable photos…such heros…).
😀 No sound works again and the first thing I do is a complete Driver backup like wooz was telling me! Thank you for that, Sir!!!
May 9, 2016 at 3:34 pm #36546Hi,
I need to re-install a Voyo Vbook V3 again. Can you help me with this, just need short manual for fresh win10 install.
I have second V3 which works fine, maybe possible to make backup from the working one and resore on other one??
Thanks a lot
May 10, 2016 at 7:31 am #36617Hello Eric,
The genuine re-installation of Win10 is not that hard, but a bit tricky. First, you have read and understand this manual (it’s in Chinese, but when you right-click somewhere on the page while using the chrome browser, you can translate it in english or whatever language you natively speak). The problematic with my installation from scratch on was, that the Intel SST drivers where a bit different and after all was done with a proper new Win10, I ended up with no sound and even the old drivers ectracted from an other user (thanks to wooz) couldn’t solve the problem, so I highly recommend to use the Voyo .iso which I linked there.
But I you have a second V3 then you can of course do a complete windows image. You just need to have the backup software installed under both machine and safe your .iso on a USB stick. The only problem I can imagine is, that if you do a complete copy of the image, you could end up in key troubles, because both machines are now with the identical activation key. I would just try to make a recovery and not a complete image which replaces everything.
P.s. : Thats the link to you factory delivered iso:

May 10, 2016 at 7:09 pm #36688Hi, I did manage to get 360 cloud account with the android app.
And so I got my hand on the WINPE_amd64_auto_android.iso and a few other files.
I then manage to flash the dual bios and intall android system. Booted up android and made a few adjustments.
Made a Windows 10 usb stick to re-install Windows and the drivers with Doubledrivers.
all ok.
As I wanted to know what was inside my voyo v1 I took the bottom cover off.
I think there is an M.2 connector, not sure though.
here are some pictures

Thanks for your answer. I managed to make complete backup with Acronis 2016 and put it back on other V3. Everything works fine and no trouble with activation. Windows says its activated.
Now i also made image from V1 so i have image from V1 and V3. After restoring image everything is working perfect. Before i made image i removed all Chinese stuff and set system to Dutch language and i did a complete malware and virusscan. So now i have two nice and save images.
May 26, 2016 at 8:01 am #38650Hello, I have a problem with the sensor. It works only when the graphics driver is not installed. Could you confirm the version of these two drivers. the graphics driver and Bosch sensor.
thank you
August 4, 2016 at 9:55 am #45568Thanks all for your feedback and the video on the Voyo VBook V1 !

I must say I am tempted to buy one of these netbooks because it’s cheaper (Gearbest : $208 with android http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_331052.html or $188 without android : http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_323958.html ) & lighter than the Asus Chromebook Flip (and with native Android & Windows also).
I have a few questions though :
- I have read on another forum that the keyboard is crap (but this can be fixed with a “hardware trick”). And that the battery indicator doesn’t really work. Do you folks confirm that ??
- Does it run OK with android ? Does the sleep mode work OK on android ??
(I tried android on my asus t100ta , it worked good except that it would’nt go to sleep
… ) - Also what is the real weight of it ??? most pages on the internet say it s 790gr (which would be really light !) but some other pages say it’s 1070gr …
Thanks folks again for your feedback ! 🙂
August 5, 2016 at 8:19 am #45683Hi,
I have been using my voyo vbook v1 for a few months now.
The keyboard was ok until a few weeks ago and I found I have to be precise in pressing the keys now, its like something is worn, I used to be able to press the keys to the side and without much awareness about it but now I am finding I have to press keys in middle else I get the odd missed character.
Other than that it has been fine. I purchased it to take camping so I could charge it from a solar charger which it has been doing very well when we manage to get some sun here in the UK. I cant tell about the weight . Have no scales and have a broken brain !!!
I have been pleased with the voyo but outside viewing is not too good. I have not had any glitches from the unit it has worked great.
I got mine from aliexpress including the stylus, but I did not thing the stylus was anything to write home about !
I was reluctant to buy from gearbest because a previous purchase from them was like a factory reject and the return postage would have been extortionate so will not use gearbeat anymore.
Have now purchased a lenovo yoga 2 tablet 10 inch running windows to replace it so it might be for sale soon….
tx
August 5, 2016 at 12:22 pm #45702Thanks so much for the feedback Plonk Xote !
Did you use Android ?
if yes (sorry for the probably very stupid question !) did sleep mode work OK with Android ?Thanks again 🙂
August 6, 2016 at 6:03 pm #45917For the weight I found the answer : it’s 1006gr : http://win-tab.net/readers_review/voyo_vbook_v1_readers_review_1604031/
(maybe I am going to buy an asus chromebook flip as it can run android apps now …)
August 9, 2016 at 6:10 pm #46267My voyo vbook v1 was windows only.
The lenovo yoga tab 3 android is great for camping, just been for a few days, nice and sunny, great tablet for reading books, sound is superb for in a tent and it will charge from a battery pack. The 8 inch version I got , good size for books and media and very light. I also read the PDF books in bright sunlight.
Think the vbook will be in a charity shop or sold.
Might give it to matchless gifts charity shop as they help souls go to another planet or realm instead of all this trying to get an upgrade to your perishing body LOL
