Hi, the supplied one is a 2.5A one. But a 2A charger will work and just take longer to do the job. It’s normal for them to get hot.

Please note that the charger that comes with the X98 has something special inside. Because I tried an iPad charger and using a current monitor in series I see this charger is not recognised by the PRO as fast charging so it charges with 500mA… Same with a 3Amp charger I ordered from dealextreme. I bought it because I noticed the charge current can be upto 2.4A, charger gets very hot because it is only rated for 2A. But the 3A charger is not recognised so it charges with 500mA very very slowly…useless

Thanks for the info. Is there a way to check the rate of charging using an app? My ipad one seems as good as the one it came with but others rated high can’t even keep the charge when doing anything remotely taxing. I was going to order a 3A charger but I don’t think I’ll bother now.

btw Chris my charger definitely says its 2A not 2.5A, have they sent the wrong charger?
