Hi All,
Would be glad to hear of the Android Emulation experiences you have had. We know that Remix OS is a non starter at present and i have tried bluestacks, which is an horrendous experience (for me at least)
Dual boot seems unlikely so any working solutions would be glad to hear
March 21, 2016 at 10:46 pm #30309Remix OS is not emulated, it’s Android ported to x86 (desktop pocessors).
March 21, 2016 at 11:02 pm #30312using Amiduos. Working ok for me in Jellybean version. Lags in Lollipop. You can try it for free for 30 days.
March 22, 2016 at 8:12 am #30353I have used almost all alternatives because I love snapseed for editing my photots. (the lack of touch screen editors in windows is so sad (even freaking photoshop doesnt support it)
Amiduos is definitily the best. (fastest, least amount of ram usage, and multi touch supprot)
tryed andy, xdriod, and some i dont even remember.
goodluck
March 26, 2016 at 10:14 pm #30963I tried amiduos too. It works, but lags too much for my taste – both lollipop and jellybean. Also the VM tends to crash when the tablet goes into standby. If you really need Android it sort of works, but in no way fluent enough for me to be acceptable.
April 29, 2016 at 5:54 am #35494Tested Bluestacks but the performance was quite bad and also I had trouble using it with the touch screen and orientation. Wouldn’t go with that. Better use a native Android boot.
June 16, 2023 at 8:51 am #226411I have experience with Bluestacks too. ‘Tis really an amazing Android emulator. But so far the website I was using it from, got closed. So I need an alternative.
June 16, 2023 at 9:50 am #226413I have no experience yet. I’ve just been learning programming and I thought of shifting to learning Android development. The reason for that is a higher pay and more advanced career opportunities. Including, but not limited to working online globally. However, like many of you here, I had to face many obstacles. First was finding a good Android emulator that, fortunately, was solved with a vps android emulator that my boss recommended. Another problem is more common, that is lack of knowledge and experience.
