November 21, 2015 at 11:13 pm #16306Is there a way to remove Windows instead of Android?
November 22, 2015 at 10:30 am #16350Magel Dai, you must be crazy! Why would you want to get rid of Windows from the x98 pro (it works perfectly) and leave only Android? The Teclast version of Android is useless, read the forums and you will see many of the basic functions of android 5.1 are missing or just don’t work. If you want a good Android tablet don’t buy the x98 pro, buy something else. If you want a good Windows tablet then buy the x98 pro.
Good luck.

Ohh, okay! I didn’t know that :O Well Windows is pretty useless for me, on a tablet that is. If I want to work with Windows I prefer my desktop pc. Isn’t there a single good rom out there that can be flashed on the teclast???
November 23, 2015 at 2:04 am #16412Can you indicate which partitions to remove or which one to keep if I only want Win10. There are several partitions andnI don’t want to mess up.
Thanks
Luc
November 23, 2015 at 6:11 am #16417I removed all but System, Windows, and Recovery partitions. There was one small reserved (10 MB) partition that I also deleted. I merged Windows partition with the unallocated space using Easeus partitioning tool, restarted the tablet and now I have a pure Win 10 tablet with a single disk drive.

Hi,
See screen capture. Leaving the Androidai partition leaves the dual boot option still active should you want to go back to dual boot in the future.
Use the snipping tool to get a screenshot for reference.
Good luck!

Hi, then Android how much size is it ? I mean, you can do dual boot, but is Android still usable ? I mean, i will be great to reduce android to … 8Gb, and use all the space that you win to make windows partitions bigger. Is it possible ?

December 4, 2015 at 5:28 pm #17581Hello,
After this I can’t boot android. Actualy I tryed not to delete the particion with 20G that belong to android, only the others like your pic.
Any ideas? Can I recover the android without losing the windows again?

December 8, 2015 at 8:30 pm #17974I still have dual boot capability should I want it in the future, but for now Android is gone and I have a fully functioning 57Gb Windows 10 (fully upgraded to the latest November update). No reflashing, no reinstalling Windows, nothing lost, easy!
Sounds like not true. DualBoot screen and option is enclosed in BIOS. You’ve left some system partition for android, but deleted all other spaces that succesfull Android boot is dependent of. You would have to retore all of them in order to run Android again. Therefore, you’ll still have to find the way around on how to boot into this OS. And this would be harder than just trying to run something from Androidia space.
December 8, 2015 at 9:56 pm #17976Hi,
I usually use Macrium Reflect Free for doing first backup of partition in my laptops. Could it be usefull to use it in X98 pro ???

http://reviewschinas.wordpress.com/December 14, 2015 at 4:20 am #18513I was cautious not to try at first because I screwed up another tablet before (for a different reason). However, I just cannot live with only 15GB of free space on Windows.
Thank you Chris, your method works perfectly. After deleting the non-Windows partitions and moving partitions / merging with unallocated space, I got exactly what you showed on your uploaded screenshot. Now I have about 41GB to use in Windows.
December 21, 2015 at 11:14 pm #19521chris i have two partitions in state unallocated. what should i do next?
December 23, 2015 at 1:11 pm #19675Chris, can you do a step by step to remove android from the tablet. I am not familiar with the process and I need someone to dumb it down for me. I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance
