Android touchscreen Sensitivity – possible fix

It was the first thing i did on android.first i flashed last BIOS, than reseting android to factory setings through system menu, than reseted windows which did not work out well,reflashed win again.everything works fine now.i do it every time i buy tablet just to be sure it is clean from start, nothing previously instaled from seller. Did not observe any lag or whatever wrong with touchscreen in android. Works same in center or edges. Hope this helps.

can you confirm, so, that with last bios installed, if you just reset factory android from system menu it gives no problem nor to android partition, neither to Windows one?

Yes; at least it worked for me. It was working ok on both partition after android factory reset under setttings menu. But i factory reseted Windows after that and it actually reseted but a lot of drivers were missing, touch not working etc so i just reflashed official win image from chuwi site and now everything is ok. I am waiting for another Hi12 for my GF and will do the same thing again when it arrives.

I also did a android factory reset with the new bios and it works fine. Just be patient. The circle turns abfew times and afterwards the tablet reboots into some kind of recovery (moving android in the background) and resets the android partition.

Consider this another vote in the “it works” column.  While I would not have previously called it “bad” I certainly would agree my touch sensitivity seemed a tad lower in Android then Windows requiring perhaps half a second longer and a little more pressure to get the touch sensor “awake”.  After a full factory reset (hooray for blindly hitting options to find English again) I can say I have a pretty measurable improvement.  I have a few kid drawing apps on my hi12 for my daughter to doodle with and they seem to be far more sensitive to her input and she misses far fewer strokes then she did before (shes only 14 months old and so her input is pretty erratic and would often get missed or skipped before the reset).   I also seem to have far better success in getting the settings shade to drop down from the top where before I would occasionally have to make 2-3 attempts for it to register the edge swipe.  Definitely worth trying if you have some sluggish and low sensitivity in android.

I also did a android reset but it didn’t improve the sensitivity for me at all. When I removed that second screen protector however, I got a major improvement in touch sensitivity for android.

I did the factory reset and it seems to be improved a little… anyway usable!!

It seems that in the center, in order to have the touch registered, I do not need to push harder but just longer…
