Yes, this thing can eat up to 10 W when running a 3D app. The thermal solution that the manufacturer has included is not adequate for this kind of power and the CPU can easily reach 85º C.  I have opened the back of the tablet and replaced the cheap silicone pads with copper pads, and added artic silver to ensure a good conductivity. The back of the tablet is going to get hot if you’re running anything CPU and GPU intensive, that heat has to go somewhere.

You can limit the CPU speed on Windows, there are instructions on the sticky posts on this forum.
