I bought a convertible because I didn’t have a tablet. Instead I find I never use it as a tablet and stick with my phone for tablet stuff.

What I do is drop the paired keyboard, forget the touchpad and touchscreen and use an external mouse and keyboard. This is lighter and more comfortable than a laptop.

    But…

no upgradable RAM has killed it. 2gb ram is not enough… I doubt 4gb would last long either… So I’m thinking to go back to a laptop, carry the extra weight and put up with carrying 2 keyboards and a kickstand…

I currently have a zoostorm plex, 2gb ram, celeron 1.58 n2807… Too slow… I’m now in China and able to order easy off taobao

If you are using windows 10 with 2gbs it’s going to be a miserable experience.  The absolute minimum is 4gbs and 8gbs if you aren’t using an SSD.  The SSD makes up for having less RAM because cycling to virtual RAM is fast on the SSD isn’t so bad.

Teclast does have an 8gb RAM tablet.  No idea if it’s any good:
