I’ve only gotten a full refund from them for a tablet that took forever to ship, so I canceled the order. So not sure on part refunds.

Next up for review:
Ordered and waiting for my: BMAX S15 & Teclast F6 Plus
Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30October 14, 2015 at 4:39 pm #13251is this because a tablet came with pirated windows 8?
October 15, 2015 at 2:18 am #13274well, yes. I got the tablet, tried it out, realized the windows 8 was pirated, complained…
I balked at having to pay $80 or more to return it. I kept it. I had a copy of Windows 8 pro so I installed it.
But I did file that claim with Paypal, asking just for the cost of the copy of Windows 8…and came back with an offer to return the tablet for the full amount…
So again, paypal is not really helping much in this situation, and do not buy anything from geekbuying!
October 15, 2015 at 4:37 pm #13301I emailed geekbuying aftersale support again and they offered me a $20 refund and and some $5 off coupons for the windows 8 pirated copy–If I close the paypal claim.
I think its a bad idea to pay $80 to ship it back to china and them have then refuse to refund the money-in the past they said if it had any scratches on it they would consider it in not new condition….so I will admit defeat, accept the $20 and get on with my life. And maybe someone will buy it locally from me at a fair price….and does anyone want some $5 geekbuying coupons?
The device itself isn’t bad, but the experience with geekbuying has been pretty awful. I guess I am lucky they didn’t send me a box full of rocks though. Yes we will send you an rma code but if any of the rocks are scratched…
October 25, 2015 at 2:43 am #14094Yeah. I got a refund for two orders from them earlier this week, paid via paypal, and quickly refunded although they provided an entirely bogus waybill for my first order that they claimed shipped via DHL…
That said, my money’s back, I re-ordered via banggood and have a tracking waybil # via DHL WHICH they did NOT charge EXTRA for.. apparently c. $350+ and it’s ‘free’ DHL/whatever europe is AFAICT…
October 27, 2015 at 11:37 am #14305I was refunded in full for my recent order by geekbuying. No problems, although I was prepared to escalate in several ways.
[EDIT]
I suppose that I should also mention that the order never shipped.
[/EDIT]
October 29, 2015 at 3:47 am #14403Adding to this reading their ‘if you can’t afford it get someone else to buy it for you…’ line makes me at best queasy
