battery and charging issues

Hello friends

I have searched the web and can’t find a Good post that can help Me

Is it normal that this tablet has a very bad battery. I let it charge , when it is  off ,overnight and when I boot into android I already lost around 8percent of battery capacity

 

Even when it is charging and I am using it ,the battery goes down and shuts down eventually. I m just using this tablet for looking powerpoints. Not any heavy usage of CPU or ram at all. I can’t imagine gaming on this.

worst thing is that I don’t have any background apps running liked Facebook or messenger. Nothing fancy is loaded and still the battery drains so fast. I can get around 3 hours I think of battery life (that is just the screen on to read PDFs or PowerPoint) and I need to charge like a whole night and I can’t even get full capacity.(and using it while charging only decreases the percentage or it will maybe go up 1percent after a half an hour ) The charger provided with it , didn’t even charge the tablet. Now I’m using a sony cable that works well on my other devices .so i dont think that is a problem. I’m getting quite desperate because with heavy usage (like internet and YouTube ) I could get one hour or something before it is drained.

If you are trying different chargers/leads it best to use one of those USB volt/ammeters to check you are getting the full power you need out of the charger. There are different ways that that chargers/devices negotiate the higher charging current (sometimes higher voltage too) and they are often not compatible. If the original lead/charger didn’t work and others failed too it’s suggesting an issue with the tablet, but still I think it’s worth using a meter to be sure.

Oh, and by the way, don’t expect to see a 5v 2A charger delivering 2A because the charging circuit in the tablet will charge the battery at different rates depending on its current level of charge.

Hello, you need a good USB cable, capable of delivering over 1 A of current.  I have tested Anker, Aukey and several cables with AWG22 wires, they deliver 1.4 – 2.2 A to the tablet and are able to keep it charged under light – medium load.  Screen backlight limit is 50%, over there you’re not able to keep the tablet charged. CPU can be bussy, but not at turbo, about 3 -4 W.

I can use the tablet to read PDF or PPT while charged, it even charges, about 1% every few minutes. But you have to use a good charge and a good cable.
