    Hi,

I’m about to buy the new Chuwi v10 Ultimate, but when i was comparing the proc specs i saw something strains, at least i can’t explain it, maybe somebody here can

Why the base frequency(GPU) of the old baytrail processor is faster than the new cherrytrail?

Cherrytrail: GPU  base frequency 200 MHz

baytrail: GPU base frequency     313 MHz

Most likely so it uses less power when idle or when barely being used.

The atom x5 uses a newer gen of the intel mobile graphics chip. It’s at least double the performance. The base frequency is just the lowest setting it’s capable of running at without causing graphical issues in the running OS, mainly windows.

You wouldn’t notice it in simple things like browsing the web or watching 1080p res or less video. However, you would notice it in more power hungry games.
