    Hi,

I wouldn’t go with an Atom for those needs. A Core Tablet would be good for that, they are much better at editing photos. Since having a full sized USB 3 port would be good for adding a SD card reader, I think the Teclast X2 Pro would do the job, or the Cube i7 Stylus with it’s Surface Pro 2 screen. Have a look at my reviews.

If you are looking for ultimate portability with lightweight set up, I say get any of the 8 inch tablets with 1920×1200 resolution since most will be IPS screens. With a Dell Venue 8inch and Lenovo miix2 8incher,I had some decent experience using lightroom and photoshop. One thing is you should not expect a very high performance. Most 8inchers also offer MicroSD extension. You can also try lenovo thinkpad tablets with atom which will give you HDMI out as well as USB3 port. I had an msata on usb3 enclosure and and my LR catalog was decent in speed. There is a new contender Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 with decent specs and great screen build quality but the storage is not expandable and the tablet is not out yet.
