I’m the owner of a Chuwi Hi10 Windows 10 tablet. Its a good little system aside from the disaster that find W10 to be – especially when it demands that I format and damage all of my USB flash drives and SD cards.
I’ve tried to get Ubuntu 16.04 to function fully on this tablet, and while it does work, its not usable. I found that 16.10 won’t install on the tablet. 16.04 is my preferred Ubuntu and I’m now using it across a number of desktops and laptops.
I may have to sell the Hi10 in favor of a lightweight laptop or another tablet that can fully function under Ubuntu 16.04.
If you are using Ubuntu 16.04 on a tablet or lightweight laptop up to the $300US range (or know someone is using it) I would certainly like to be informed about it! My hardware requirements are mostly average: 4GB RAM, 64GB HD, and 1600×1000 screen resolution or higher. The 1920×1080 on the Hi10 is very good and I’d like to stay close to or as high.
