I’m looking at USB C hubs to connect the i7 Book to an external monitor for “docking” at home. What have you all found to be the best way? I’ve tried the Dell WD15 docking station and could not get the hub to do anything but charge the tablet via USB C.
Should I go with a USB C hub or just get a USB C > HDMI adapter and run it that way? I don’t really need more USB ports as the wireless keyboard/mouse use a single dongle for both. Just would like to essentially dock the tablet at home and hook to my 23″ monitor and use the wireless keyboard and mouse.
Hey David. Chris tested a couple of them in the youtube channel.
About your “hub or adapter” question. I’ve been wondering about this too. In the end I believe I will buy the hub for the power delivery function. But you also could just charge the tablet beforehand or keep the DC charger on. It’s up to you man, but these two products both work with the cube i7 book. You could buy one of these or just buy another product from amazon, check if it works and return it if it doesn’t. Cheers.
I have a question myself: When connecting the tablet via HDMI, can I shut down the tablet screen and use it via the external monitor?
Goedendag!
