Best way to permanently power Chuwi Hi8 ?

Hi there!

I want to use my Chuwi Hi8 as internal Display inside of my PC-Case.

My plan is to remove the battery and connect the tablet directly to 5V or 3.3V.

I´ve found a video showing how to power it internally via 5V but I´d guess that using 3.3V would be better since everything (?) runs on 3.3V and else the step down regulator would be under load ALL the time.

What would you say? Is there any information where best to input 3V without the tablet complaining that there is no battery?
