Charge the tablet to 100% and then do a windows reset/recovery. It will be a pain in the ass with the windows updates etc. but it may fix your problem. If that does not work you may have a QC hardware issue. Plug it in while you do the reset, it will maybe take hours to complete. Do not cancel it…let it go for 5 or 6 hours. Set your power options so it will not sleep and dont have an Sd card in the slot.

    Hi Max,

thanks for the information. Could you please explain me what you mean with “plug in and do the reset” ? How i have to perform the rest in detail. ? Is there a reset button in the hole at the bottom left of the device or is this the microphone?

    Thanks in advance

By “reset” they mean a feature in Windows 10 that resets your OS back to factory settings. Here’s how to do it.

Make sure you’re plugged in and fully charged while this is going on because you don’t want the tablet turning off midway through OS reinstall (which is essentially what reset is).

    Hi,

i have carried out the win 10 reset to factory settings, but the behaviour is still the same. Below 80% battery power the tablet switches off immediately without warnig with a black screen.

Has someone an idea how i can fix this buck?

    Thanks in advance

Since you have done a reset, it seems that you have a hardware issue. There have been an alarming number of these types of issues posted lately. It seems that the rush to fill orders has resulted in a drop in QC.

It is possible that you have a cold solder joint on the wires from your battery, it has been seen before on other X98 tablets. You have two options, send it back, or open it up and check the battery wires. Your call.

A google search of Teclast X98 cold solder battery wire might provide some insight.
