    Hi,

I’ve got my F6 pro a month ago but have been using it just for a couple of days. All worked fine when delivered, but when booted after getting back from holidays (2 weeks off, no one used it when I was away), I got a blue screen just after Windows logon screen. BS was saying there is an issue with NTFS.sys. After reboot, blue screen again, just after Teclast logo went on – FLTMGR.sys was an issue that time. After the third or fourth reboot with BSs I powered it down, took off SSD (which I thought could be a faulty element), refitted it in the slot and tried to boot the laptop up again.

The blue led on the left turn on but the screen stayed black – no Teclast logo, no screen blink, nothing. The battery is charged up, the symptoms are the same regardless of whether it is being charged (red led on the left side of the case is on then) or not.

Have anyone run into a similar issue? I suspect it might have been caused by the faulty SSD (blue screens) but have no idea why the screen is not turning on? I got it from Gearbest so planning to contact them soon but if there is anything I can do instead that could save me months for sending it back to China, having it repaired / replaced and sending to me again, I would give it a try (as long as it won’t void the warranty, of course).

Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

@kiwas I’m afraid that’s a more sinister hardware fault, likely RAM or chipset. Unfortuntately neither of those you can do anything about.

Hopefully Gearbest will help you out with a warranted replacement. Please keep us updated, I’d love to know the process involved for a warranty swapout like this.

    Thanks for prompt response, Olly.

I’ve contacted Gearbest, as advised, and described the case, attaching couple of photos. They get back to me pretty quickly presenting 3 alternative ways of resolving the issue. One of them was the swap of the faulty laptop for the new one under warranty (which I’ve accepted). I had to send it to Spain (covering the shippment cost, planning to get it back from PayPal under their policy) which is much faster and less burdensome than sending to China.

The parcel is already sent, I’m awaiting confirmation of its receipt by Gearbest, now.

    EDIT (20.10.2018):

Gearbest offered me a refund of the price (but not the delivery cost), which I’ve accepted. Trying to get the delivery cost back from paypal under their new program.

Anyway, I’m now looking for a new laptop for a decent price. F6 Pro is tempting but I hear more and more stories of dead machines out there…

Are you looking for a wooden window and door contractor? Enfield, North London windows and doors handles such projects daily. Their specialty is casement windows and custom-made wooden structures. They also manufacture doors, which are often used in homes in North London. The company operates in the renovation and new construction sectors. You can see examples of their work and their range of services on their website.
