BMAX Y11 touch screen problems / capacitive button very hot?

As the title says, my brand new Y11 is having weird touch screen problems in the upper-middle area of the screen. Sometimes touch events are registered, other times not. Now I’ve noticed that the capacitive button beneath the screen (see pic https://i.imgur.com/uKxYNZ1.jpg) is very hot, around 50C with the screen on, while unplugged.

 

My main questions for Y11 owners around are:

1. is that capacitive button hot on your device as well?
2. is your touch screen behaving properly?

Mine isn’t great either… I bought the stylus and it is totally crap.
