So, my ruthless attempts to change the display language while avoiding buying a Win10 key for a clean install got me to a point where the tablet thinks it has no system language and won’t boot into Windows 10.  And the blue Teclast icon restore, etc screen doesn’t respond.

Is there any way to boot into the BIOs / from the bootable Win10 USB I made (media installer kit)?

So, these tablets ship with a version of Windows 10 Home Chinese where the display language cannot be changed – requiring a clean install of Win10 to be useful.  Based on the pre-purchase setup of a user account, its pretty shady.

And the blue Teclast icon restore, etc screen doesn’t respond.

Connect usb keyboard over OTG cable or over usb hub and point recovery (windows update from sourse) button to start update.

Or go to the BIOS by pressing DEL on attached keyboard (you should attach keyboard and flash usb drives before TAB will power-on) and in the bott override option click the boot from UEFI flash device and automatic update will start.

Please note, you should prepare 2 usb flash drives in special formats (FAT32 & NTFS), copy windows image. It will able to update windows by this way. About usb drives prepare – you could find article in the tablets topic of this site – Teclast X98 articles about windows 10 multilang update.

    Hope, this helps.

Vodemar – that helped.  I got closer but I killed my Android partition, so I’m going to use Kozar’s method.

Does anyone know which partitions to update to?  How can I tell which one is the Android partition?

Why do people leave out major steps in tutorials?  (smile)

Okay, at this point I’m hosed.  After I downloaded the clonezilla image Kozar had posted I realized that won’t work because its for the X98 Pro.

I’ve borked my Android partitions (no boot choice screen – probably no Android) but Win10 works (sort of – no rotation and the touch screen is off by 2-3 cm).

I found a tutorial on reddit for flashing the ROM.  Linked to it I found a partition map – http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61975136&postcount=10497

Can someone point me to a tutorial on how to reinstall Android without deleting Win10 0r how to start from scratch and redo everything?
