It will be also interesting for me.
May 27, 2016 at 7:02 am #38760On my tablet, I removed the Teclast X98 Pro Android operating system successfully. I followed this procedure: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61774590&postcount=140 But now, during boot, I still get the chooser windows asking to choose Android or Windows. Anyone know how to boot directly into Windows and skip the operating system choice?? How do you change the boot file?
Could you kindly explain more, because that was chuwi. For teclast pro which pains are important and should not to be touched?
May 27, 2016 at 7:10 pm #38825What I did was not very difficult. I started by backing up the tablet’s entire hard drive first through Windows and using Easeus Backup free, just in case I wanted to revert back to the Android partition, or in case I screwed up.
So continue removing all the other worthless ANDROID partitions small and the large Android partition…I and gained an additional 24.29 GB partition and it was automatically labeled by Easeus as D:
So using Easeus FREE Partition Manager Edition, I deleted all the partitions, small and large…EXCEPT…that means DO NOT DELETE:
C: (That’s your boot partition)
EFI System Partition 128MB
Recovery Partition 500MB
Then each deleted partition will be labeled by Free Easeus Partition Manager as UNALLOCATED, you must then for each partition, click CREATE PARTITION. Do this for all the small partitions including the large ANDROID partition. Do this one by one until all the partitions are done and only the BOLDED partitions listed above remain.Easeus Partition Manager works best in this case, by making the changes to all the partitions at the same time. After all the partitions are deleted and recreated – only then is when you click APPLY, and Easeus will apply all the changes. It did not even require a reboot…and it took like a second to finish.
The tablet works fast and error free – and I have 24 GB more storage!
You can then set the location of your Documents, Pictures, Videos, Music, Pictures, and/or Downloads – by Right Clicking the folders you choose to automatically save on your new D:, and choosing Properties, Location, and then setting the location to D: – Windows will automatically create the new folder and move any existing files to your new drive. From then on, it will be transparent and work automatically….tada!!
May 29, 2016 at 4:41 am #38968I just viewed a video by Chris here:
http://www.zebroid.tv/watch/sNLPm0EQqA0/how-to-install-only-windows-on-a-dual-boot-x98-air-3g-amp-air-ii.htmlAt the end of the video it showed how to boot only to Windows…Voila! It worked on my Teclast X98 Pro…so happy!
Start the tablet and the boot window that shows the boot options for Android or Windows appears…Click the check box so both are BLANK. If OS shows there, you have to keep clicking the menu or whatever so Android and Windows check boxes are both unchecked, and both are still visible. When that happens, just let the tablet boot itself into Windows….forever!
My tablet is now Window only, and all the drivers are the original, and the bios is the original, and the tablet boots directly into Windows. Now I finally have a Windows 10 – only tablet.
Thanks Chris and TechTablets.com …couldn’t have done it without you!
Now make a backup of the new Windows only drive and we’re set!
Any questions??? I’ll do my best to help whoever needs help.
