Brand new iWork8 Air. No longer turns on.

I just got an iWork8 air from Banggood.  It seemed to work at first.  I only used it for about 15 minutes, never even installed an application, and next thing I know it won’t power on.

I’ve left it charging, held the power button for varying lengths of time up to 60 seconds.  Held other button combos, etc.  I just get nothing, only a black screen.

Is there any other troubleshooting to do, or is this a bad tablet?

Vol up + power button?

Vol down + Power button?

Vol up + Vol down +  power button?

I managed to get tablets like this to OS selection screen or BIOS pressing some of those.

Try to connect a USB keybard and press Esc after power button.

Hi there,

after my Air arrived from banggood I got same problem. He just turn screen black and got hot when charging (light indicator of charging: red dot near front camera). I was sure, that tablet is dead, but I found solution somwehere:

1. press and hold POWER button for about 20 sec
2. release
3. press POWER few times very fast (push-release-push-release-push)
4. press and hold POWER for about 2 sec (like for normal turn on)

Sorry, for my english, Im quite drunk right now 🙂
