So I just got rid of windows 10, rooted the device and got it all setup with some kernel tweaks and I was really pleased with the device overall.

I then went poking around the bios looking for some performance tweaks and stupidly set the memory at a higher frequency. I say stupidly as it did enter my head that i may not be able to reset the bios settings but I did it anyway.

Now the device won’t power up. Something is happening as i can feel it get warm and if I plug it into my phone it charges it.

I have tried completely depleting the battery, holding vol down and power and holding vol up and power in the hope that this would reset the bios but no such luck.

There are guides out there concerning other teclast tablets that show how to reprogram them with a usb adaptor and a ribbon cable with a clamp that goes onto the bios chip itself which i would like to try as i think it should work.

The problem is I cannot find the bios files for the x80 pro (e3e6).

Anyone have a link to the bios for this or is willing to take an image from theres and host it for me somewhere.?

Alternatively anyone have any other ideas how to reset the bios settings.

I feel like a right idiot.

Sorry for your situation, but do you have any tweaks for better wifi?

What helped me somewhat is to set the router to wireless g mode only. Wireless n mode is very slow with this device.

Also  with android download lspeed and set net buffers to large helps a bit.  You have to root the device to do this

Once i get my device working I’ll post some more tweaks if i find any.

I can help if you tell me how. Also what method did you use to root your tablet?

Sorry for the late reply, I think I have the correct bios files took me ages to find.

As for rooting I can’t remember where I found the particular method as I hunted for a long time and must have browsed a hundred sites.

I do however have the files which I have re-uploaded for you to use, there are some poorly translated instructions but it does work. Please note that I removed windows before doing this and the root method has 2 caveats:

1: The device will boot with the wrong dpi but you can install an app to change this to the correct value

2: The device will think there is a sim card slot so you will have a no sim icon in the notification tray.

I used the device for a good week and can confirm that it was stable and the sd card slot worked with my 64GB Samsung evo+

There are 2 sets of su folders as I cannot remember which one worked, also the instructions say to try it a couple of times.  It took me at least 6 attempts running root.bat etc but it did work so be persistent.

Anyway the files are below, if you need a hand please ask.
