Bricked Windows Tablet – Help?!

Hi there,

 

I naively flashed the ROM from the EFI shell with the wrong BIOS!

Now my tablet doesn’t turn on and I am desperate for some assistance

If this site permits me, I will also consider a donation (if this site permits me saying this) for any pointers that help.

 

 

If I press vol- and pwr for about 15 seconds the charge-light turns green. the pwr button will turn this off again.

Is this some sort of fastboot mode?

 

Is there software and drivers I can use? Do I need to prepare an SD card?

 

Most of the tools and techniques I’ve read about are for Android tablets. So I haven’t managed to detect connecting to it.

I’m not sure which BIOS you flashed and if you flashed it on a Vi10, Vi10 Pro or a Vi10 Ultimate? Also what’s the ID printed on the bottom left of your tablet?

Have you tried pressing volume up and the power button or what about pressing volume up, down and the power button? Keep holding volume up and down, but take your finger off the on button after a second or two.

Normally even if you get the BIOS version wrong the tablet will still boot, but as yours doesn’t seem to get that far you may need to take the tablet apart and use a BIOS programmer.
