I’m baffled with the camera’s while running in windows. So this all started when I wanted to use google hangouts in windows through the browser. Essentially, I have to hold the tablet with the power button and volume buttons facing downwards and the camera is on the bottom left as you hold the tablet. Rotating the tablet will not automatically rotate the camera image in google hangouts (and I assume skype too). As best I can tell there is no permanent fix to this. Can someone please confirm? ( I know that you can use ManyCam to “fix” the issue). And yes, I have searched the XDA forum and just want someone else to chime in to confirm my initial search findings that no fix exists for windows camera orientation.
Here’s more background…I own a C8J6 model and when this unit shipped from China, the camera orientation would rotate just fine using the windows built in camera app, but not in google hangouts. I then attempted to perform the inverted camera fix found in post #3 and that screwed up both the screen orientation and the digitizer touch orientation….I was able to restore some of the drivers to fix the screen issues, but now the camera won’t even flip/orientate properly in the windows camera app….I still have to hold the tablet with the camera on the bottom left to appear vertical. BTW I am still running bios 1.07 because I don’t want to risk bricking the device.
I am still running the stock android version that shipped from China.
Thanks in advance!
