March 19, 2016 at 1:47 pm #30044There’s a lot of saying 3A, 2.5A, 2A charging. Did anyone use a usb meter to measure the actual current when charging?
I had the X98 Pro, and the charging was never over 1A even thought it is rated for 2A charging.
I’ve tried the original 2.5A charger, Samsung fast charger, and several other 2A chargers, it was never over 1A of current going in.

You should also make sure that you use a high quality USB cable(with little resistance). And be aware of the fact that USB meters create extra resistance in the cable, thus giving you less charge current.(because of a little voltage drop)
March 20, 2016 at 2:36 pm #30136Hi Loek, thanks for the reminder. I have tried all sorts of permutation with original charger and cable, and all the chargers and cables I have at home. Result is consistent: the charging never draw more than 1A.
Please share your charging current rating with us, and the equipment you use to charge and measure the current. Thanks!

If I get my Hi12 I will post results with chargers and several powerbanks. I have some generic 1A powerbanks, some randon 2A power banks and a real Xiaomi 10400mAh powerbank. (which should provide 2A at least)
