So I ordered the whole Cube i7 book set and have been using them as a daily driver for a week now. Did the thermal mod and the whole nine. Overall I am satisfied with the tablet but I’m guesstimating that the keyboard is defected unfortunately. Randomly, the right directional key has been spazzing out without it being pressed or stuck since day one. Now that one key is somewhat dead and works occasionally but the weird spasms are still there.
- Gold contact pins are clean with no signs of obstruction
- Right Fn key, super dead
- Blue numbered keys and Fn + Numlock does not work
- Tried using linux live usb, same results
- Tried using the KB in bios, same symptoms
- Removed the dock and plugged in usb KB directly to usb 3.0, cannot reproduce symptoms
- Updated to Windows 10 Anniv. but did not do the complete reinstall/restore
- Fiddled with the drivers in the Device Manager, nada
Any advice anyone? I really don’t want to go through the whole ordeal with getting this fixed with GearBest if it’s something simple that I am missing.
