Thank you very much for the feedback!
It’d be great if you could post a video showing how accurate it is while writing text.
Or just share your opinion – how good is it to write some quick lecture notes? And how is the palm rejection?

    Thanks again

hi, nice, thanks for the feedback xD
i just bought my cube iwork 10 ultimate yesterday (waiting it to be shipped)
and i wanted to know how good is the stylus, can you some video or something and post it on youtube of you drawing and writing or whatever?? xD
    ty in advance xD

the stylus support is one of the reasons i bought this tablet, not a major reason, but one of the reasons (like as a bonus it supports stylus xD)

there is already a video on youtube, of the stylus but its some guy writing and the video is really small, if you could do a small review of what you think of the pen it would be nice 😛

Please post a video of it in action if you can in One note draw some lines and test out the pressure sensitivity.

Sorry, but making videos is a bit beyond what I can motivate  myself to 🙂

I’m crap with handwriting and painting, so if you have very specific needs it’s best to take me with a pinch of salt. That said, I’m very satisfied with accuracy, I find it’s easy to use the pressure sensitivity to make thicker and thinner lines and such. Palm detection works great for me – it takes a moment for the tablet to adjust itself if you place the hand on screen before using the pen, but when it does you can move your hand all over the screen without problems. Only annoyance I’ve found yet is it sometimes draws new little lines while I’m erasing stuff? Not sure what causes it though.

I’ve had an i7 stylus tablet with the wacom stylus, and I think I actually prefer the feel of this one. It would depend on how you like the feel of hard plastic on glass though, you won’t feel any friction when drawing. It feels exactly like writing on the screen with an ink pen, which I find I like.

I can absolutely recommend it for taking lecture notes, I can’t see any problems with that at all. For more artistic stuff I’m no authority – the lack of friction would certainly irritate some I feel. For myself though, I really feel I got my money’s worth. Let me know if there is something  you’d like me to try out!

just received my stylus. I see some shops sells it for RMB 115 (around usd 18) , so I just bought it. AAAA battery is included, although I bought 8 pack of it already for RMB 25 elsewhere.

It is working both on Android and Windows, it even working on BIOS.

On Android, the function keys and the pressure sensor is not working, only touch is working, i don’t think android identify it as a pen at all, just another touch input.

On Windows, pressure is detected, just not as good as wacom. The pen is detected on edge of the display without any problem.

The main problem is: sometimes it just not register the pen as touch, like, not working for few seconds randomly. You actually need to put the pen one seconds on the screen first to enable it. Also, you must put some pressure for first touch.

I will do more testing before giving my conclusion.

EDIT: I do have tempered glass installed, maybe that effect the pen detection?

I’ve just received a couple of them that I bought from geekbuying…nine weeks and AUD 50 each later.   They’re less satisfying to use than the Wacom and Hanvon passive digitiser styluses that I’ve got on Asus VTN 8″ and Pipo W5 8″.  The Cube styluses take a greater range of pressure to modulate, the tips tap noisily on the screen (they’re bigger and heavier than the batteryless styluses and made of metal rather than plastic), the onscreen stroke lags slightly behind the stylus tip (and the lag isn’t consistent), and I find myself nigglingly distrustful and worried for how long the  battery will last.  I do like the very fine onscreen stroke for sketching in apps like Sketchbook and Fresh Paint.  I also have a Vido W10i Windows/Android tab that has a stylus that hadn’t worked because the battery spring had become dislodged, so the Cube stylus (which looks similar but which is slightly different in every dimension, no commonality at all) showed me how that should work.  The more expensive proprietary Cube active stylus obviously gives them considerably more margin than the third-party ones that can be used with other brands, but in my opinion the Hanvon is better than the Wacom, and the Wacom is better than the active styluses.  Meh, I think I’m going to buy the lower-res 32-bit Z3736 CheWi Ebook 10 just because it’s got onboard Hanvon passive.  Love 1920 x 1200 screens and useful USB ports, but styluses that feel more like pencils on paper trump them.  Not needing batteries and being able to be used on other tabs is gravy.

After using it for few days, I still cannot recommend to for anyone to buy it. It simply not that good, not even to my shitty Samsung Note 8 pen. I cannot stand using this to write scribble and notes, and drawing some diagram for my client to easily see.

Here are few main problems I encountered:

    • It is quite slow. Probably delay around 500ms – 1sec, it is quite random, sometimes it is fast, sometimes it may takes around few good seconds.
    • First stroke have probably 50% not detected if you have palm at the same time. It seems it cannot detect the pen is closing in to the tablet. Samsung pen you can hover it 1cm above the screen and still can be used. This tablet require direct contact to be detected.
    • The button position could be better, and no eraser on the top. Only the second button can be used as eraser.
    • It can jump to left and right when drawing. Small occurrence,  but still very annoying.
    • You should give a bit pressure for it to be detected.
    • It is very noisy and relatively heavy on top. I am used to passive stylus, so probably that is the problem.
    • The only place you can attach it on the tablet is the magnet for keyboard dock, and it doesn’t even stick that well, just good enough.
    • Most of the times, click is not registered on Windows. I can see the circle when tapping the screen using the pen, but it seems click instruction is not executed. It takes few tries, and I gave up after some times, just directly use my finger to touch it.

Conclusion: Not recommended. If you really need it and have no other choice, then go for it. I bought it for relatively cheap price, so I don’t really mind that much. I will not recommend it if it was $30+, for $20 probably okay, just for some random scribble at random time.

It does not sound optimistic .. can not yet be a problem in the quality of a particular piece? .. maybe there are more manufacturers ? .. or just wrong batch ?
Truthfully, I was hoping to get one order..

It is also possible just me that have a bad luck, we need more sample to get overall experience of the pen itself.

Of course you can buy it and try, maybe I am get used to the Wacom powered Samsung Note 8, using a Chinese knock off doesn’t satisfy me at all. I believe every person have different mileage.

Is this stylus of any use on Photoshop?

I currently have the cheapo stylus sold by Gearbest (and am currently getting in touch with them for falsely claiming 256 pressure sensitivity) which i can’t even get to write a line at all regardless (having to use mouse = why use a tablet to begin with?)

Any news about the Stylus? I’m a little bit worried because of so different experiences for the same Stylus.

I received the active pen CEP02 for my CUBE iwork10 today.
Windows, pressure is NOT detected. It works but there is no sensitivity!
I tried on photoshop and windows paint.
Do I have to do something to recognise sensitivity??
