Hey guys. I just received my new hi10 pro last night. The USB-C charging cable doesn’t fit snugly in the port. I am not sure if its the cable or port, but I have to kinda wiggle it before it’ll find the charge connection. Then, since it’s not quite snug, any accidental jostling of the device or cable would easily cause it to lose the charge connection. Anyone else experience similar? I do plan on getting a reputable usb-c cable/charger and see if that might fix it, but was wondering if this might be a “known” issue of sorts.
Also, this may be slightly related: the behavior during charging seems to be a little wonky on the windows side. When plugged in on Android, it charges fine (and decently fast, i might add) but in windows, it acts strangely. In the battery notification of windows, it will constantly blink “Charging” then it’ll go away then repeat, the entire time a charging cable is connected. The screen will also “blink” brighter for a moment due to power profile changing (i.e. screen brightness) for that instance. Anyone heard/know anything about this?
UPDATE: Regarding the 2nd issue, I found following on chuwi forums with other users experiencing same problem: http://forum.chuwi.com/thread-2976-2-1.html Feedback in terms of possible solutions is a bit conflicting, but signs do point to the stock charger/cable being a bit wonky. Expect to receive my new USB-C cable and charger from Amazon within next few days, hope that fixes both of these issues. Will report back.
UPDATE2: Both issues have been fixed by using a new charger and cable. Something is wrong with the charger/cable they supply you, I recommend folks to get rid of it ASAP. Bad chargers can do some physical damage. Tablet itself is a good product, but just looking at the stock charger should hint you to its, uh, “reliability”. And the fact that they send you one with a stupid-long EU plug together with a stupid-long US adapter, is… ridiculous. Get yourselves a proper charger and cable.
