    My guess is it won’t/can’t work.

    USB voltage is 5 volts, whereas the battery used in the Stylus and Book  products is around 7.4 volts (I believe!).

    You cannot charge a 7.4 volt battery from a 5 volt power supply.

    This is why it needs a 12 volt charger.
