Hi Mikie, I have this notebook for three days, I’m using it right now. As you will have seen from the lapbook reviews, they are always very hight in the score; the reason is that for this price ( i pay 170€ +12€ insured shipment ) everything, also with this not very good hardware, can be a good and risky investment.
I chose this notebook for its design, it features similar to most tablet but with a 15.6-inch screen and a full keyboard in less than two kilos of weight. I did not believe it, but the battery has a really good duration, and you can really go out without the recharger which in any case it is really small.
I don’t like so much windows 10, maybe because i use windows from 95 while from windows 8 they have greatly changed the position of settings and panels, but as i tested on a really old hardware, born for the tablet, it run smooth but not too much.
I noticed problems reguarding wi-fi that it DC some times and not work correctly, like update and language pack or in my case watching steam download, it was wavy with peaks ranging from 900 to 30 kb. This because (i think) it argues with time capsule (apple), so i try reactivating my old wifi from router netgear and it goes definitely much better.
The keyboard is without light so I have decided to buy italian stickers to apply on it. The structure is not so good and it flex and i also found the G key very hard, think because the plastic levers under the key was damaged in the assembly. The mouse is really sensible and for me that i usually use mac It is a trauma, but not so worse than the other notebook.
I do not think it is a notebook for a long-term investment but if you think you can use it for office, video, film netflix and simple game, you can safely buy it. Now there is the BOOM of this china-notebook, but Chuwi is also know to be good in the assembly of the material, and i can confirm.
