I’m not in the same league as Chris but I’ll see if I can help anyway.
What is the exact message you get when trying to log into Windows? It sounds to me like your Nephew might have changed your password.
With regards to charging I don’t know if there’s a known issue with this tablet but from general experience I know that using a 3rd party charger/lead can cause this type of problem. Can you please confirm that you are using the Teclast charger and USB lead?
December 3, 2015 at 4:13 am #17384Thanks Jonathan its when I go into windows everything works as it should until I try to put my password in it says there are no connections also at the bottom where you shut down the the tablet there is a box with red X in it.
December 3, 2015 at 11:50 am #17414So just to clarify: You can’t get past the screen where you have to enter your password when you start up Windows?
Which Version of Windows are you running please?
December 3, 2015 at 6:59 pm #17458It was upgraded about one month ago to windows 10 ,but now when I go into the windows side it loads up to password screen but nothing happens when I try to put my password in,in the bottom left hand corner are the on/off button one for disabled the third is a box with a red x in it when I touch this it says there are no connection’s
December 3, 2015 at 7:56 pm #17464The red cross and no connections indicates that something is up with your WiFi connection, the trouble is we can’t do much about this until you have an accessible account on the machine.
Do you really mean that nothing happens when you enter your password? Surely you are getting an error message or going to your desktop? You are pressing enter or clicking the arrow at the right hand side of the password box after entering your password?
After upgrading to Windows 10 was everything OK at first?
By the way, sorry for all the questions but I want to understand the situation fully before embarking on a time consuming and/or difficult course of action.
December 3, 2015 at 8:12 pm #17465One more thing, do you have any data on the device that you need to retrieve?
December 5, 2015 at 5:05 am #17669When windows starts up it gets to the screen asking for my password but when I try to put it in nothing happens,I said before there are three things at the bottom of the screen the shutdown the next one when touch that one it comes up saying keyboard and the third is like a monitor with a red cross in it,it is when you touch this one that a sidebar opens from the left hand side at the top it says in large letters networks under this it says no connections are available, also there is nothing important that I need, iam sorry itsso long winded but I am trying to give a real view of what I am seeing and doing, just to Finnish thanks for taking time to answer me.
December 5, 2015 at 10:40 am #17676I think we have a slight communication issue here, it happens, I’ll try a different tack.
I understand that you are getting a login screen with a red cross something like the 3rd attachment to this post.
I also understand that when you click/touch the red cross you get a sidebar that say there are no connections, as shown in the 2nd screenshot attached to this post.
This isn’t neccessarily a problem. For the moment we must ignore it.
We need to figure out the “asking for my password but when I try to put it in nothing happens” part.
What I’d like you to do is:
- Touch the thing in the middle of the three icons that brings up the keyboard option.
- Enable the onscreen keyboard.
- Touch the box that says password, it should change to white and display a small flashing vertical line.
- Type your password using the on screen keyboard.
- Click on the enter key.
- Report back what happens.

December 5, 2015 at 1:04 pm #17689I tried to show you the pictures I had taken of what happens but it won’t let send them everything is as you say except when I touce the keyboard nothing comes up and as I touch the password box the ease of access closes and won’t open again until I do a restart.

December 5, 2015 at 2:16 pm #17701Good, now we’re getting somewhere.
I expect there’s a clever way of fixing this, but its probably easier to just restore from a restore point if you have one.
Fully charge your tablet and then plug in a USB keyboard and ideally a mouse or touchpad or trackpad (you will need a hub if you don’t have a combined keyboard/pointing device).
From the login screen, click the power button.
Hold shift on the keyboard and click restart.
After a while you should get some options, select troubleshoot->advanced options->system restore
When you are asked for your account select it then enter your password when prompted.
Click next on the window that comes up.
If you don’t have any restore points post back here.
If you have restore points select the most recent one that is before you started having problems.
Click next, finish and yes.
If the restore point doesn’t work then repeat the above but select a different point.
December 6, 2015 at 3:58 pm #17769thanks Jonathan I am back in worked a treat many thanks.
December 6, 2015 at 4:38 pm #17771You’re welcome. Sorry I didn’t cotton on to the actual problem sooner.
