Just had my first brush with a Chuwi (Hi10) and it kept rebooting randomly in Windows 10 when running with the charger disconnected, but with plenty of battery. So, I am now in the market for another tablet and wondered whether all the Chuwis are crap, or whether I was just unlucky. Is there a particular model which is a lemon ? Is there a particular model which has had the problems ironed out and is generally a good tablet to have ? Thanks for any replies.

I just ordered the Chuwi Vi10 Plus. KonstaT over at Modaco has fixed the kernel, so common issues of freezing are now fixed (Android only). Gearbest got it on offer right now.

You should try to flash your Hi10 like you can see at http://forum.chuwi.com/forum-52-1.html

    Thanks for asking that question!

I’m considering buying the Chuwi Hi10 Pro because it is now sold through Newegg (reputable US company) from Geekbuying and the price is 150 USD.

But I would like to have a high probability that Chuwi will actually work (Windows boot) for a while.

Any useful data on the DOA/flaky-operation rate of the current (Newegg states Atom is Z8350) Chuwi Hi10 Pros?

    Thank you ahead of time.

Well I think they do have mayor problems, not only in the units but in the after sales services, but most of the problems are with the “retailers”. as an example watch, and then ask your self how they dare to ask for more evidence. The best thing is that I sent the videos directly by Facebook page to Chuwi but they to talk directly with the retailer but guess what, the retailer is Chuwi itself as official store in Aliexpress. Take your own conclusions, in a few days I will upload all the communications with the seller, believe me you will laugh with the answers they gave me. Now I am providing all the evidence to my bank to process a charge back.

I’ve had my Chuwi (USA charger) for about a month now. Charging seems to work fine.

The BIGGEST problem I have with my Chuwi it is that loses WiFi internet connectivity (I’m using Windows10) at home. Disconnecting and then reconnecting to the same WAP restores the internet connectivity. My one Atom generation older HP tablet has a similar problem: they both use a Realtek WiFi chip. The Realtek WiFi drivers are whatever came with the tablets and subsequent Windows10 updates.

Otherwise the Chuwi works fine: I had NO expectations of any support from Chuwi. I asume they’re basically a factory with VERY minimal dedicated customer support, especially to an English-speaking American.
