CHUWI VI10 Fixes Compilation

This post consists of the problems that I have encountered with the Chuwi Vi10.
Note: I will refer jonathan as ‘Jono’. THESE ARE THE STEPS I DID TO FULLY RECOVER MY TABLET FROM DEAD WINDOWS AND NO WORKING USB PORTS AND TOUCHSCREEN. FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS AT YOUR ON RISK! DON’T BLAME ME IF IT F’s UP YOUR TABLET. IT WORKS FOR ME, BUT MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU!
My tablet: CHUWI Vi10, 32GB, 221506.

#1 Reset Bios:
Note: Works with no working USB port and Touchscreen.
Before you begin check with Jono if his method is compatible with your tablet.

#3 Touch not calibrated(ie. is retarded):
Note: Fixes the ‘my screen is retarded’ issue for me.

#4 How To Install Windows?
Note:
– My USB does not show up! -> Check if your USB is in FAT32 format.
– My USB ports don’t work! -> Look at #1.
– My Windows gives me that Bulls**t drivers are not found. -> You might have a bad Windows Installer, or you can try to use Tuxboot to create a USB Windows Installer. Link: http://tuxboot.org/download/
– The Windows Installer gives my some retarded Error Can’t Install bulls**t! -> Use the ‘Custom Installation’ option. Select the partition that has Windows. Make note of the partition number. Then format that. Then select that partition again and press the Enter Key. A message will pop up. Press Enter again. Then BOOM! Continue on!

1. Download the Media Creation Tool
2. Click Accept
3. Choose the ‘Create Installation media for another PC’.
4. Click Next.
5. Choose ‘ISO File’.
6. Click Next.
7. Choose a location to store the ISO file. Make sure it is not on the USB you are using to install windows. Duh!
8. Then wait. (Unless you are downloading on Korean internet, then there is no such thing as waiting for a download…)
9. Format the USB you are going to use to install Windows. Click ‘Restore Device Defaults’. MAKE SURE THE ‘File System’ IS ‘FAT32’.
10. Download ‘Tuxboot’. Suggested by Jono.

11. Click ‘Pre Download’.
12. Next to ‘Pre Download’, click on the drop down box and select ‘ISO’.
13. To the right of the dropdown box click the button ‘…’.
14. Find the ISO file downloaded using the ‘Media Creation Tool’.
15. At the bottom of ‘Tuxboot’, make sure the: ‘Type:’ is USB Drive, ‘Drive:’ is set to the USB you are going to use.
16. Then click ‘OK’.
17. Now wait. (Patience, people.)
18. Once it is finished, it will throw an error. Ignore that and close the program. Now your USB is ready.
19. Make sure your tablet is in windows. Turn off your tablet. Then plug in a keyboard and the USB you’re using to install windows.
20. Turn on the tablet and spam that ‘ESC’ button to go to ‘Boot Options’. (Make sure you don’t break the keyboard… You’ll need it.)
21. Using the arrow keys on the keyboard, navigate to to the ‘Boot Manager’.
22. Press the Enter Key.
23. Using the arrow keys navigate to ‘EFI USB DEVICE’.
24. Press the Enter Key.
25. Now follow through with the Windows installation process.
