If it helps, I sorted this out on mine by:
Booting a Windows 10 installation USB and pressing shift and f10 at the region settings screen.
At the command prompt I then entered:
cd /d “c:\program files” (enter)
ren insyde insyde_old (enter)
wpeutil reboot(enter)
February 24, 2016 at 3:46 am #26874When I’m typing the second command it says that the system cannot find the file specified. What should I do?
Or would it be easier to just reinstall windows?

You could use the following commands to see if the switcher is elsewhere:
cd /d c:\<enter>
dir DualOSSwitcher.exe /s<enter>
It might help if you could also describe exactly what you did before the problem arose and also provide as much detail as you can on the issue itself.
I would strongly advise against reinstalling from scratch at the moment. It’s a lot of hassle…
February 24, 2016 at 6:33 am #26882I upgraded to windows 10 on microsoft website. Then the touchscreen didn’t work, so I found icnfirmware.sys file on the forum and fixed the touchscreen. After that I downloaded the os switcher, switched to the android and that’s it.
Found the directory. What command should I execute?

Thank you very much for helping me!
February 24, 2016 at 2:19 pm #26932Denis, sorry I didn’t see your post in time to offer help but I’m glad you figured it out anyway and you’re welcome for the help 🙂
BTW, the old one looks like it may have actually been the one that plays nicely with Win 10, you could probably use that one instead of the version I found God knows where 😉
February 24, 2016 at 5:00 pm #26944The os switcher that you recommended works great, so I’ll just stick to it. Thanks again!
February 24, 2016 at 5:15 pm #26953Oh, one more question. Can I delete windows.old directory now?
February 24, 2016 at 5:30 pm #26954I don’t think you’ll have any problems if you remove the old Window’s directory. In the unlikely event that you ever needed to go back to 8.1 everything you’d need is available online anyway…
